Further Education Better foundation for the future generation Exposure to global standards of operations. ************ And on another note, for those who abuse cleaners, taxi drivers and menial workers; it shows how misinformed and unexposed u are. Those who work menial jobs, take home between £900 - £1200 in England per month, ie assuming u work for a minimum wage, from 9-5, monday to friday. It is way better than sitting down doing nothing, in civilised societies no job is looked down on and nobody would bow to you cause everyone doing any job is 'free', free from servitude and oppression as is obtainable in Nigeria. |

lol See all these naija pple back home that have been rejected visa 20 times (yet still applying) - coming on here to insult others that have left. Haters! una no dey taya? lol I left naija cos well the opportunity arose that I cld leave to get a BETTER education - zero strikes, cults etc etc. Plus I hated the mosquitoes, heat, nepa, insecurity, lack of real opportunities etc etc For those saying that there are problems everywhere - true, you're right - but there are different levels of problems. The ones for naija sometimes just too much, and when you can't see any light at the end, To that clown Tippy that was talking nonsense, look here mate, its not just about getting a good president or whatevers - its the MINDSET that is wrong with Nigerians. As long as this doesnt change, we'll be stuck in this madness. |

Re: Why Did You Leave Nigeria? by blueflame1: 4:05pm On Mar 17, 2010 |
rich_john: So the right orientation should be: Every Nigerian should remain in Nigeria and Nigeria would develop? A great country has all types, the expatriates, ambassadors, adventurers, scientists, politicians etc Those that have failed and continue to fail the country are those whose responsibility it is to rule the nation, they are well paid with great benefits and should perform for what they r being paid for. I guess u r not insinuating that the ambassador to Kuwait or the expatriate in Shell posted to the Netherlands should be blamed for policies and decisions made within Nigeria? I'll rather they r blamed when they do not perform the job functions for which they r paid. |

Re: Why Did You Leave Nigeria? by Nobody: 5:04pm On Mar 17, 2010 |
tanimz: hmm its actually correct. "Sweeping" does not necessarily mean using a broom. Yes they do sweep (clear) snow off the sidewalks and streets. |
Re: Why Did You Leave Nigeria? by Nobody: 5:08pm On Mar 17, 2010 |
@ Tkb There is nothing like coming back home and having faith there is constant electricity. Nobody has to pursue me to go and buy fuel because they want to fill up the generator. Then you see me dragging one heavy jerrycan while alighting from okada. Na so one okada man won beat me because I said 'wetin dey worry this man'. With no light, you can't even use the water pumping machine, that is if water coporation is not ill that month. I say no more. This body was made to enjoy. I'll come back when electricity is fixed. |

tanimz: the problem is some of you pigeon-hole a particular word which shows your own limited vocabulary. "Sweep" can be used for a wide variety of meanings. Yes snow can be swept . . . |
