kaka ki kiniun she akapo ekun onikaluku a she ode loto, loosely translates that rather than the lion (kiniun i think?)being the keeper of the meat belonging to both it and the leopard, each one ll go off and keep its own meat(i know the explanation sounds dodgy but theres no easy way lol) the rationale of the proverb is that rather than someone cheating and making your situation worse you ll rather go it on your own terms as it will be better than the present situation |

orisa bi oo le gbemi she mi bi o she bami loosely translates diety/god if you cant help me/my situation then pls leave me be in my present situation. the rationale behind this proverb is that rather than worsen my situation from bad to worse, fryingpan to fire let me be in my present situation |
