How dare you reduce South Africa to the back seat! It is very disingenuous of you to liken SA to small insignificant organisms. Haven't you heard that a fly once killed a big elephant by simply finding its way into the nose of an elephant. Consequently the poor elephant as big as it was, pleaded with a fly for mercy, for it could not sneeze, little did it know that it was too late, for the fly did not have any BIG heart to forgive. The aforementioned tale is a reality and serves as a warning to never underestimate the might of underdogs.

Why would a prototype not get launched, and it never crashed it got hit by a solar storm something that wipes out a lot of satellites, one even knocked out the power grid in canada.

We got satellite image of CAR i should you that remember. Why would we use a satellite to guide our ships, for your info we don't use GPS or any electronic system has our primary guidance system. No navy relies on GPS. do you know you need to get and send a signal to use GPS and that can be tracked. The system can also fail.

Ever though that maybe no one cares about your home made stuff, I mean not even NAF cares about your home made drone considring they still bought isrealy drones. The ratel, badger, G6, extra are export items and thuse there is info about them on line. What arms does nigeria even sell. Do you know since 2003 SA has never sold less that 10 million worth of A,C and D class milltary hardware to nigeria most of it A class and in some years the numbers where close to 100 million in sales to nigeria.

The J7 radar is a joke and has a limted range and over all not very good. It has no means to launch long rang AAMs that even the mirage F1 and Cheeta of SA could launch.

And the fact nigeria payed more means what. The top of the line F7 is still a joke.

Hello!! you do not understand how do the budget system of South Africa work. The project is already underway as we speak. The half of the money has already been allocated for 2013 and the other half will be allocated in the next year budget 2014. It must be noted that SA budget works in dual terms, for eg, 2013/2014. The project will take more than two years, that's why the allocation will be made in two halves, that is, in 2013 and 2014. Thank you.
