GSM Onitsha or Nnewi or anywhere in Alaigbo should be organised, clean and tidy like this new Kaduna GSM plaza.
Nonsense! Kasupda building that El-Rufai sold to his crony Bacab. Who renovated it. That's Private property. It looks Nice and sparkling cos it has not been put to use yet. Don't fall for that arr.ewa guys propaganda. El rufai is busy demolishing people's structure and livelihood. And selling govt properties to his cronies.

The Enugu Capital Territory Development Authority (ECTDA) has ordered all bystanders, hawkers, highway traders and petroleum tankers at Eke Obinagu, along Enugu-Abakaliki-Cameroon highway to vacate all sides of the Trans-African highway within 14 days or face its wrath of demolition and prosecution.

The Eke-Obinagu road market has in the recent time brought about perennial traffic congestion, made worse with the menace of petroleum tankers and which in several cases resulted to road crashes, including the recent death of the Ebonyi state commissioner for Infrastructure, Engr. Fidelis Nweze.

Chairman of ECTDA, Denge Josef Onoh said that Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu state, after so much effort at controlling traffic at the Eke-Obinagu/ NNPC axis ordered the ECTDA to ensure that the market traders relocate to their designated and developed market adjacent to the NNPC depot which he said they left unoccupied but came out to the road.

He lamented that Governor Ugwuanyi as a sitting governor had on occasions personally come down and decongested traffic at the menaced Eke-Obinagu/NNPC junction which he said was embarrassing, yet the illegal road occupiers failed to reciprocate his concern in the area.

Onoh further disclosed that his agency has made arrangements for relocation of all NNPC depot tankers and auto mechanics who have occupied the two sides of the Trans-African highway so as to ease traffic and save lives at the congested area.

Onoh stated that in line with the agency’s development control mandate, he, in company of the traditional ruler, the Surveyor General of the state, House of Assembly member Hon Hillary Ugwu; Permanent Secretary in the ministry of Transport, Ogbonna Idike and Governor Ugwuanyi’s aides visited Eke-Obinagu, Emene and Abakpa crowded areas where they resented to the impunity violations of city development control in the guise of trading along major streets in the areas

He extended his eviction notice to the remnant traders at the former Oye-Emene market and every street trader along Amuri road, Taxaco and liberty bus stops and all other hawkers along Nike road in Abakpa area of the metropolis.

“In the events of these therefore, the Enugu Capital Territory Development Authority hereby gives all illegal markets and shanties that have dominated the Eke-Obinagu/NNPC way 14 days from now to relocate as demolition of the 216 illegal structures, makeshift markets and shanties that have defaced that entire environment and have increased robbery, drug abuse, making it difficult for people with genuine business to move freely. After 14 days, the ECTDA will commence immediate and total demolition of that entire area,” Onoh said

He stated that any form of disobedience or resistance will be met with superior force and urged the illegal occupiers of the affected places to comply with the directive.

“Anybody that fails to comply does that at his own risk as it is even stated in Romans 13, verse 2 and in verse 59 of Surah An-Nisa in the Quran. They are to move to an already existing Eke-Obinagu market close to them that has been left fallow for years. They refused to go there because they want to trade on the road and on public drainages bringing about flooding in the area.

“The same goes to all the illegal shanties and structures along the Rehab road at the former Oye-Emene which will all be demolished. I kindly urge those affected by these activities to quietly and respectively move or they will be moved by force,” Onoh notified.

On the nuisance at Abakpa, the ECTDA boss said that further demolition will affect all structures built along transmission lines; illegal markets and motor parks built in the area that have turned Abakpa from a well planned city into a slum. We will start from NOWAS junction into Abakpa.

Any bus operating in illegal packs will be impounded, chopped, recycled and sold as scrap metal. All these notices are within 14 days because the past administrations since 1999 had given them notices. We will also continue enforcement in the various layouts that collectively form the Enugu city master plan.

“I assure the good people of Enugu state that Enugu Capital Territory Development Authority will not fail to bring sanity and ensure that Enugu maintains its glory and serenity. To all defaulters I assure them that demolition continues until sanity is restored and I owe no one apology,” Onoh said.NEWSEnugu govt gives 14 days eviction notice to Eke-Obinagu market traders, NNPC tankers

Let us be familiar here...
We want development so much that you don't blame me or us for being greedy at it......

Soludo really have a lot to do...we have an airport his duty is majorly to make it viable and profits will be used for the development of the state...
From private people or investors or personal business.. honestly we are doing our best...it is our pocket that determines what we give however state government have more steady and lager purse...with good management and standards they can do more.

Honestly many of our roads needs dualizing... No more one lane road, or tin roads, or open gullies, traffic lines/ roads and markings, light poles
and greenry should be significant soludo should change the narrative.

In order to grow our economy.....soludo should first see what obiano has done and continue...in all honesty I love what obiano did for economy obiano started with the grassroot example in agriculture should only be expanding them to a large scale.
Also in Economy also soludo should equally pay attention to (blood money) like oil and gas, sea or river port, and air port..we know it is in the hands of FG he should really lobby for it... honestly for a macro economy wise we need the "blood money" if we get hold of any of the three...like Airport is almost visible then we are In "macro wise"....

Economy keeps Anambra state alive! honestly thank God to our private entities, else we could have been long dead... Some state thrive with alot of things, north and south South's and parts of Southwest live on FG and state Government Economy to survive either wholly or partly, south east is Majorly private entities.
Since private entities is Anambra steady money, State government should do more...that is why I love obiano, he brazenly went for the oil and gas and fought a good fight, He equally fought for Airport too...honestly I love his courage even with limited resources....is obvious that River port overwhelmed him but nonetheless...I appreciate him...Peter obi although I didn't like how he handled our opportunity with GEJ or FG then he didnt get any of this "blood money" factors no sea or River port, no Airport, even the oil and gas move he made was not bold like obiano regardless Peter Obi Wasn't ambitious but Managed what we had then very well.

Is so hurtful that nnewi NIWA guy played with our emotions with onitsha port for a political ambition....Soludo should go and get it even if lobbying others from other parties. if Demands for Onitsha port is saturated he should go for port at ihiala the OseOkwa port... This sea or River port is holding us up for our outburst.. I see how obiano brings ndi Anambra both non political people and people from other parties to come see the airport and encourage Anambra... He should do it.

Politically I wasn't happy when Maduka(American doctor) went to PDP.... now I am equally happy indirectly how PDP messed him up...please he should join APGA and when the coast is clear his time will come...

Lastly... brothers in this blog you all made it what it is! from crazy to sane persons, from perpetual fighters to peace makers, etc love can be shown in different ways we should bear that in mind.

You don't have to call me Ewu. It is not nice. I only posted a beautiful business premises which I find tidy and worthy of replicating anywhere in our Anambra State. It doesn't matter where the present one is after all no one invents the wheel anymore but can only adapt. Many aspects of our new Airport are replication of what is already done elsewhere.
I see so much hatred in the hearts of Ndigbo on themselves. So much insults on slightest issue. Could it be the harshness of Nigeria on the Ndigbo that is causing this self hate.
Any way I wish we take it easy with ourselves and learn from each other including learning from and accepting constructive criticism.
