HIS HEAD RECALLING THE HORROR THAT HAPPENED EARLIER.... Francis stood as he watch some group of boys dug up a grave....

After a while they managed to put the fire out but it was too late to save the old man and woman... The fire had already barbequed them.... Burning them beyong recognition.....

Tears falling from his eyes... His clothes almost drying... He scan his eyes around..... Wondering where Taka had gone......

His eyes fell on some women who were weeping probably over the death of the old couple.....
He took a deep breathe and more tears gleened from his eyes.. He recall Taka had ran out the moment the chief left with his boys.. Where he ran to was still something he doesn't know.....

With doleful eyes..... Terror clinging in his spines.. He watched as the boys carried the old couple burnt body into the grave they have dug... Pilling their two into one grave.....

Earlier he'd listen to some woman gossip... They had said the old couple had no children... They were alone.... That has made him wondering who Taka is to them if he isn't their son.....

Tears flushing out he watched as the boys began to cover back the grave with the sand they have dug from it....

He quickly pick a shover one of the boys had dropped and he began to help heaved back the sand into the grave......

Sweat tinge with tears sheening down from his brows....heart throbbing.... He pack back the sand with the shovel... He stood for a moment..catching his breathe.. Just then he caught glance of Taka heading towards them....

Curiosity of where he might have gone to in such a hurry flushed through him..... He exhales and resumed work.....

Taka drew nearer... No sign of tear in his eyes.... He went to one of the boys digging the sand and offered to help collecting the shovel......

The boy didn't hesitate before giving it to him....

He stood beside Francis and began heaping back the sand into the grave.....

"Where did you go to....? Francis quickly ask as he throw a shovel of sand inside......

"To take care of some problems.... "He reply... Exasperation in his voice....

Francis was inclined to ask what problem but then he just decided to mind his own business......

"Hello sir..... "The man with the briefcase said....

"Not really sir....... Actually.... "He opened the briefcase and brought out a document....... "That's a packing order..... "

Shocked......, Odumodu collected it...... "Who are you.....?

"Forgive my manners... Am barrister stephen Oguba..... "

"And what is this packing order for...... ?

"What it states is written there...... "

"I know what it says..... "Odumodu boom out.. Exasperation creeping into him.... "I just want to know why you are given it to me.... "

Odumodu groan.. Then he scoffs.... "There must be a mistake somewhere... This is my hotel....... "

"Not anymore sir.... "The barrister said.... "You signed ownership to Mr Wash.... "he said opening the briefcase again showing him the documents he signed earlier.....

He groan.. Slowing folding his fist..... Is Mr Carter behind this......?

"That's an information i cant disclose... Not even to you...... "

With furious eyes.... He left them....furiously trotting to his car......

He stare at Odumodu ...anger sparkling in his eyes..... He must have gotten the memo....

"What is this Mr Carter.....? Odumodu yelled..... "I signed the documents for the expansion of the hotel and some white man comes and claims my hotel...what's going on...?

"Exactly what you heard chief..... "Pious replied exasperation in his voice.....

Shock engulf Odumodu...... "I don't understand..... You mean to say....

"The new owner of that hotel is Mr Wash.......... "Pious cut in brusquely....

"Are you trying to say i signed my hotel out........

"Exactly chief..... You were stupid enough to sign those documents without reading them...... "Pious retorted.... Anger surging through him...

Shock.... Trepidation overwhelmed Odumodu.... His head trying to register what was happening..... "Who are you.....? He groan

WITH THE WORDS RINGING IN HIS HEAD... ODUMODU held the car steering griply.... Heart pulsating.... He couldn't wait for his stupid driver to come so he had driven the car himself to see him.....

Their discussion resounded in his head.... Carlos was right.. He is Pious.....
He couldn't concentrate... He keep having flashes of what had happened... His hotel..... He try to shut it out but it was still there... Echoing on his head no stop..... ...

He growled.... Terror overwhelming him.... He couldn't focus.... Hands trembling..... Heartrenting.... His whole body shivered as he saw a big truck approaching speedily......

He try to dodge ...... Just then he lost control of the steering... The wheels immediately jolted.. Diverting into the bush..........

Heart crushing.... Bursting out... He match on the brakes but the wheels kept going.. He diverted the steering again but it seems the car was in control.....
The wheels troted forward.... Driving down bushes.....
With a scream..... He forcely turned the steering to another direction........

The left side tires rolled over.... The car weight weighing it down......

Odumodu screamed letting go of the steering as the car tumbled on the ground...........

Head spinning.... Bleeding.... He try to breathe but breathe escaped him..... Try to come out from the car but he couldn't move.... Slowly he began to shut his hazy eyes.. Then he drowned into an oblivion of unconsciousness.........

Shock swept through Carlos..... "Who am i speaking to.....?

"Someone who knows what happened five years ago... You have 24hours to confess yourself or i go public and show the world who you and your pack of chiefs are...... "

"Do you know who you are messing with.... ?Carlos growled.... Horror wrecking through him.....

Chief Mayo quickly rushed into the hospital.... To the emergency room Odumodu has been rushed to......
He quickly open the door when he found it... His heart sanked when he saw him lying down on the bed helplessly... Unconcious... The doctor and nurses during their best to revive him........

After several attempts ... They manage to revive him but he was weak.... His head bleeding profusely.... Legs scrap.....

Chief Mayo watched wondering what could have caused the accident.... He has rushed down to the hospital the moment he heard the news..... Someone had called him......

They treated the wound and they excused him with him....

When they were all gone from the room.. He trot towards him.....

Odumodu blink... He sneer at the pains he was feeling... He grimaced.....

"Why didn't you allow your driver to drive you.....? Chief Mayo ask....

Head spinning.... Odumodu began to recall all that has happened..... Pious.... He turn to face Chief Mayo... He try to muttered words but words failed him....

"No no... Don't say anything.. The doctor said you need to rest..... "

"No.... "He muttered faintly...... "He.is......."He cough..... Blood began to gush out from his mouth...

"What's happening to you.... You need to rest....

The door cranked open...

His heart raced at tremendous speed as he saw him....

"Am glad you came mr Carter..... "Chief Mayo said...

"How is he doing.....? Pious ask....

Odumodu couldn't breathe.... Heart pounding hard... The EKG heart machine started beeping.....
Slowly he raise his finger at him....

The machine beep faster as his pulse began to lower... his heartbeat reducing....

"Doctor..... "Chief Mayo shouted running outside.......

"Y.. O... U......... "Odumodu said with pants breathe then his fingers drop to the bed....

The doctor and nurses came rushing in......

He started to fade.. His heart beating faintly.. The machine beeping faster....

"We're loosing him...... "The doctor said and quickly pick up the defibrilator....

With a slow pace.. They placed it on his chest and he jerked up from the bed.. His body collapsing back.....

The faint heart beat stopped as the machine stopped beeping.....slowly.... He faded away.... Finally given up the ghost

With a woebegone face the doctor turn to face Chief Mayo...

"What is it.. Is he going to be okay.....?

"We tried our best...... We lost him.... "....

Anger licking through him.... Pious glared at his lifeless body as it was covered...... a wry smile made it's way into his lips......then he muttered silently.... "You see that father.... That's one down"
