His Excellency,

Rtd. Gen. Muhammadu Buhari

President And Commander In Chief

Of The Federal Republic Of Nigeria.
Dear Mr. President
Sic Semper Tyrannis

In about a fortnight from now, Nigerians will head to the polls again, in what might end up as the most keenly contested presidential election in our political history.
Political buffs and pundits have submitted varying opinions on the possible outcomes of the February 17 election.

However, armed with prior knowledge of the results from nationwide surveys of a handful of credible think tanks; i put it forward to you Rt. Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, that Nigerians are more than ready to say goodbye.

To be candid, Nigerians are fed up of your infamous dictatorship, which has gained international notoriety for constant human right abuses and flagrant violation of the rule of law.

Nigerians are tired of a divisive and bigoted president. Nigerians are tired of a Government devoid of equity and accountability. With sincerity, we have yearned for participation, with loud voices we have clamored for inclusiveness, but you have failed to respond genuinely.

At the start of 2015, with a healthy economy standing at 568.5 billion dollars, you succeeded in watching 35% of our GDP disappear into thin air.

With your ludicrous economic policies, you watched Nigeria's Gross domestic product dissipate to a paltry 375.8 Billion dollars in 2018. In 3 years, from the world's 3rd fastest growing economy, we had transformed to an underperforming economic slug. We are tired of the ceaseless misfortune!

We believed your mantra of Change, we took your word for it; but you and your handlers have taken our trust for granted. We are fed up of perfidy and betrayal.

You promised us economic prosperity, as spelt out in your party manifesto. In few years, you have ushered us into a dispensation of untold hardship, unparalleled suffering and unprecedented poverty.

With your incessant jamborees and unending medical tours, you roamed the world like a rapacious medieval sailer, searching endlessly for Eldorado.

Innocent and hardworking Nigerian peasants were massacred in the most sadistic fashion while you watched the pogrom against these minorities happen right under your nose. A case of outright wickedness or arrant negligence. We are tired of oppression!

My candid advice for you Mr. President is that you resist the temptation and pressures from selfish advisers (who clearly do not have the interest of the nation at heart), to rescind defeat.

For the love of country, i urge you to please take a cue from history.

On the 21st of September 1972, when Uganda's first black Chief Justice was arrested and illegally detained, some Ugandans did support Amin's onslaught against the country's Judiciary. The tyrant's true intention eventually unfolded when he executed Benedicto Kiwanuka that same year. But the draconian despot ran for his miserable life when troops of the Uganda National Liberation Front closed in on Kampala in 1979.

In 2010, when the Presidential elections in Côte d'Ivoire saw Alassane Ouattara poll 54% of total valid votes. The results were supported by the UN, EU and ECOWAS electoral observers but the constitutional council which Gbagbo had succeeded in infiltrating with his obstinate loyalists declared the results unacceptable. He went further to nullify the votes in Ouattara's electoral strongholds alleging fraud, and declaring himself winner with 51% of votes.
Mr. President i need not remind you of Gbogbo's shameful overthrow.

When Vojislav Kostunika won the Sptember 24th Presidential election in the federal republic of Yugoslavia, Slobodan Milosevic so desperately tried to nullify the results by manipulating court orders and engineering post election fraud. The Slavs vehemently resisted, burying the Balkan butcher in the sordid pit of history.

The consequence of such ill thought actions should serve as references to your decision making in the coming days.

Mr. President, please be carefully guided by the cases highlighted above. Analyse your options with utmost caution and above all, please prioritize the peace and prosperity of Nigeria.

Regardless; you would go down in our history books as the most divisive president we have ever had, a vindictive despot, aloof from matters of national exigence, blithe and thoughtless; a dullard of distinction!

Be that as it may, on a final note Mr. President, let me quickly remind you that the voice of the people is the voice of God. As the 17th of February approaches, bearing in mind the untoward sufferings of millions of Nigerians; i do not wish you luck. Sic Semper Tyrannis!

Yours Sincerely
