RIP to the fallen!

How did it happen? Why wsan't he having his helmet? How did his head get that close to the blade?

Where are the safety mechanism and training for such people to prevent such accidents.

I suggest that a serious investigation be carried out. In order to improve safety of persons working with or around such machines.

ALEX Barde probably has the money for the protective gadgets. He’s gone into the ground but his fugitive family is spending the loot!

The moderators here must answer for this! It bothers on national security and should attract sanctions from cyber regulatory agencies. It is not enough to say that posters are solely responsible for what is posted. Nairaland needs to be more responsible!

The rotor blade is very low. It tends to strike objects especially when the pilot is trying to reposition the aircraft. Anyone standing in the way to collect

It's either the guy is too tall or the helicopter is too short. I've never heard of this kind of death before - you see stuff like this in American action movies, not in real life. It's one in a million.
Perhaps they were carrying out a repair or maintenance on the helicopter. Perhaps, the only logical conclusion I can draw for the possibility of his head to have been raised as high as close to the helicopter blades...

Tail rotor is a lot closer to the ground than the main rotor sir
Tail rotor has nothing to do with this accident. Tail rotor spins vertically not horizontally.

This is the Story of what happened.
People should not say what they don't know. When going around choppers or helicopters, we have entrance and exit angles in and out of the craft.
The airman dropped his baggage and walked through the Tail Rotor Blade (back blades) which is a no go area when the rotors are in functioning. Most people only notice the Main Rotor Blades (which is the big blades at d top of the helicopter) but not having in mind that the tail of every helicopter also has a blade too which is referred to as Tail Rotor Blade. And this TRB is partially not visible when in motion. And can cause inward drag of anything to itself. That is why u don't walk past d rear (back/behind) any helicopter. This was how it chopped his head open. People should be mindful of saying what they don't know. It is not the main rotor blade at d top of the helicopter that cut him. Even the main blades changes position upwards when the want to take off and downwards when it's just in an engine idle. Meaning d blades are in motion but it has no plans of taking off. Helicopter blades changes positions when in lift motion.
