What Part Of Igboland Are You From. by Freewilly(f): 11:31pm On Oct 04, 2010 |
I've always wondered where most Igbos on Niraland are from. I'm from Ogbonike in Anambra state, anyone here heard of my little town. Hopefully one day we could connect people from the same villages in Igboland and have are own little facebook on Niaraland |

Freewilly: Nonsense. After 1,021 posts, you are "now in the mood" to socialize with your people. Question, are you really Igbo? If so, what about Ahoada folks? And Delta North Senatorial District? This is what this thread is going to end up as, and no one will remember your village. |

Freewilly: Abiriba people are very similar to us, but we are not the same. They were part of the Aro Confederacy as well as the people of Ohafia. Abiriba, Abam and Ohafia were the foot soldiers of the Aro people. 1 Like 1 Share |

Freewilly: My dear, its a free country, and if you like, comment on whatever you want. Me nko, I will also comment where I like. Of course this thread is on the wrong section, and for many who have read and re-read here, will find it one of those " OMG, not again" threads. Simple |

Freewilly: Depends. . . Abam were known for their head hunting skills. The Ohafia war dance is the most well known. I have Ohafian blood running through my veins as well, but I am considered an Aro Igbo. My father was a mix of Ohafia and Aro. 1 Like 1 Share |

MaziUche0: My village is just the typical Igbo village with it's share of village champions You have to travel to my village during the Christmas festivities, that's when most people go home, any orther time it's boring as hell. As for beautiful girls, they are so many that men from neighboring towns would come to our village for a wife. You seem like a nice guy, when you ready for you know what, let me know and I'll hook you up. I have some HOT cousins here 1 Like |

Arysexy: Vio vio a.k.a agbugbu That stuff is like cooking rocks and limestone. Takes forever but tastes good when prepared with "ji ocha'' (white yam) and fresh palm oil. There's this stereotype that Awka people are a bunch of hooligans and no-good lose canons. That's unfounded, like like any other stereotype because I lived in Awka for about 11 yrs. The monkeys in Awka are a sight to behold and I must say they are very cute and interesting creatures. It was fun watching them swing and jump all over the place, same way the squirrels roam Jew York. I do hope people have not started making pepper soup with the monkeys because I will not take it lightly The worst time to be in Awka is during the Imo Awka festival. That is when all the despicable hooligans and dubious characters in Awka (like that ugly coconut head "Owa Ashi" or "Nwa Guy" come out to harass people. 1 Like 1 Share |

Re: What Part Of Igboland Are You From. by grafikdon: 2:22am On Oct 05, 2010 |
ndu_chucks: Lol. . . it has nothing to do with vio vio. It is actually as soft as beans or rice when it cooked but it takes forever (like 5 hrs. or more). Some Igbo people do eat without drinking water, that is why they sh.i.t rocks and you can smash windows with their poop. They have so many fancy names like "gbajie mkpilisi nku" (break firewood). 1 Like |
