Bayern Munich general manager Matthias Sammer believes Pep Guardiola will be fully prepared for the 2013-14 Bundesliga season after the club announced the incoming coach's pre-season plans.

Guardiola, who in January agreed the deal to take charge of Bayern, will make his first official appearance as Bayern coach at the club's Sabener Strasse training ground on June 26, just 25 days after the DFB-Pokal final.

He will travel to Riva del Garda for a pre-season training camp on July 4, and take charge of the team in a friendly for the first time in a game against Bavarian minor league team SG Sonnenhof Grossaspach upon their return.

Bayern will then face fellow Champions League finalists Borussia Dortmund on July 20 during a pre-season cup in Monchengladbach, and four days later will take on former club Barcelona in the "Uli Hoeness-Cup".

Bayern will then face Manchester City, AC Milan and Sao Paolo in another friendly tournament, with Sammer calling the three teams "the kind of opponents you desperately want in pre-season".

He added on the club's official website: "Pep Guardiola will be able to see where his team stands a week before the Bundesliga restarts on August 9."
