Off the top of my head, Skype, Viber or if you don't mind. Get the blip me app, works like a walkie talkie but to anywhere in the world over your internet connection.

That's for text to speech, i mean the data for the engine
but ur problem is speech to text, abi?
i'll suggest u change the language to another e.g french and test (device settings > Voice input & output > Voice recognizer settings > Language)
if the response is in french, go back and change to default - english (US)
and test again, everything should work well, i think.

Re: Android, Anyone? by na2day(m): 8:00pm On Nov 17, 2011
Nettalk is ur best bet as suggested above,
if u are not seeing it, it means the region of ur market is not supported.
use market enabler to spoof the market to get the region that supports it
i.e if ur phone is rooted.

Yes, it's the transformer but i don't want to root it yet so as not to void the warranty.

Some guys recommended grooveip. It has a lovely interface but disconnects after 2 rings.

Re: Android, Anyone? by texazzpete(m): 10:56pm On Nov 19, 2011
No Mass Storage mode on the Galaxy Nexus. Also no flash installed.
Phone runs on a 1.2GHz processor with the ageing SGX 535 GPU.

With the influx of quad core Tegra 3 phones in Q1 2012 (we'll see a lot more on these at CES 2012) why exactly are people so excited about the Galaxy Nexus?

No mass storage mode is a deal breaker for me.
