anybody asking people to go out and demonstrate on May 29the is not realistic. Do you mean the govt will stop the ceremony because of that? No one is saying if people feel aggrieved they should not voice it, but the usual fear is that area boys, bandaras and almajeris will take over such and unleash mayhem on even their fellow aggrieved Nigerians and my very "radically minded" Nigerians who think they are the worst hit by the last elections malpractices will want any responsible govt to fold its arms and allow law and order to break down completely. Like @haywhy rightly said we all have a hand in whatever is wrong with that country today. Can anybody convince me that there were no malpracices in those states won by the opposition parties? The problem is that most vociferous critics and analysts are not attacking the election because of altruism, most of you are bloody supporters of the two most unlikely presidents that "will never be"; A tiku (we don die) and that rascally 419 Orjie who does not even have respect for Igbo elders not to talk of a Ngbatingbati man. @ebos continue to wallow in ignorance and self delusion that the Niger delta criminals are unassailable, its just that their cup of iniquity is not yet full. OBJ that was and still pampering them knows what he is doing, you do not make war the first option, the whole world is watching how he has been tolerating their crass criminality so that when the Nigerian military descends on them people like Bush et al will just turn their face to the other side. maybe you were far away from Lagos on that terrible day that Ikeja Cantonment was on fire. If you had heard one of those 4 terrible explosions (among thousands others) late that evening you will know that a band of criminals bearing AK 47, RPG and GPMG machine guns cannot defeat the Nigerian military, like i said their cup is not yet full. se finis |

@awoof Your name has explained it all. Awoof man. Can something good come from awoof man? Imagin awoof man calling Orji Kalu rascally 419. You see, Pot calling Kettle black. The same igredients supporting themselves. You have not answered any of my questions. The churches and other progressive groups calling for protest, are they itching for trouble? I tell u, come to Nigeria, 80% of Nigerians really want this elections be cancealed. What point are u making if 80% says no to this charade elections? To allow the elections stand, so that people who have been known for their awoof way of life to rule our states. Please, get a life! |

awoof: u seem to have totally missed the point. for me it is nothing personal. it is not about the individuals but the process. just listen to urself and how u condemn the people of the niger delta. if they are indeed criminals, is it not right to also say that they have been turned so by the govt. what do u mean by obasanjo has been tolerating or pampering them or whatever. have u ever been cheated out of what is rightly yours and still got punished? maybe we should begin to put ourselves in the shoes of this people before we reign insults on them. afterall u or even obasanjo are not more nigerian than the people of the niger delta or anyone else for that matter. do not be decieved the western world will never turn their back when the calamity starts cos they have vested interest in the oil from the niger delta. as a matter of fact, i believe obasanjo is pampering the niger delta people (according to u) because he has been instructed to do so by the same western governments. |

I have said it, his name 'Awoof' explained it all. No Awoof man wants justice stand. He will look for a way to back his trick in order to continue to cheat. He has not been to Bayelsa State and see things to himself. Go to Bayelsa and see people sleeping along Express Road. Suppose a vehicle lose brake! Awoof is not in Nigeria and will not understand what we are saying. From Lagos, to Port Harcourt, follow Bayelsa and see people sleeping along the express. A community that has over 24 oil well has only one primary school not even a block building. Still the awoof has the guts to call the boys criminals and disparaging the efforts of those who have been fighting for justice. Some have been imprisoned, and thank God they continue to wax stronger in their fight for justice |

By the powerful grace of almighty God , Nothing will happen to our transition to another civilian to civilian government. Nigerians are not proactives as such to avert the process . God has already poured his blessing on us to count our blessing. But Man's inhumanity 2 Man is our greatest set back. thanks. |

I came across some people cursing in their posts. Funny enough millions are cursing the people in the high place that are giving Nigerians problems. What kept me wondering is that instead of your curses to be effective on them, they remain wealthy or let me say become wealthier. When are we going to stop cursing and start praying for a better world for we the future of the Nation? If among 140 million people 40 million is praying while 100 million is cursing what do you expect the future to look like or do you think the curse will be diluted by some super natural powers to prayers or what? It is better if the cursing one's join the in the prayer for the country to get better before we grow older than we are. The way most people live their lives is just like "A farmer who planted a grain of corn , wetting it with acid and he kept expecting it to yield a bunch of corn". How is that possible? |

Bad mouth no go kill Nigerians. When would of learn to accept things and stop spitting rubbish. You want Nigeria to be good yet you say bad things about her. Countries like the US & the UK are what they are not just because they have good leaders but they also have patriotic citizens. it's high time we changed. As for me, Yar' adua is okay and with God on our side, May 29 will be a smooth transit for us. |

@ebos well at my level, having read many unwarranted abusive posts when i first joined nairaland i have vowed not to engage in exchanging words with people. there is a saying that "an adult doesnot dance naked in the open" well, surfice to say that by your attacking my user name you have succeeded in making a fool of yourself and portrayed yourself as a product of a background moulded with criminality and bad upbringing. first of all there are worse user names than awoof in Nairaland nobody in his right senses has used that as reference point in reacting to posts. you think i will join other Nigerians who will say a different thing in the open, but say a complete different thing while relaxing in their sitting room. if you think kidnapping innocent foreign and local oil workers and collecting ransom be4 releasing them is the best way to fight injustice then the word terrorism has changed its meaning. why dont you ask your governors in the niger delta what they have done with the huge monies they have been getting all these years, before you and your people paint Nigeria red with your inborn criminality. a people that have no regard for education will continue to suffer and lag behind even if they are allowed to control the so called oil wealth 70% QED |
Re: May 29th The D-day? Will It Be Successful? by ebos(m): 8:05am On May 25, 2007 |
@ awoof You reacted to my posts by insulting me and the Niger Deltans. Let me tell u, i'm not a core Niger Deltan. I'm from Umuahia in Abia State and u can easily see me in both Umuahia, Port Harcourt and Lagos State. Though, Port Harcourt is like a home to me considering the years I have been there. It is better to oppose my points by bringing superior arguments than insulting me for giving my contributions. You said u have had enough abusive languages in Nairaland but u go along starting the insults. I did make a general comment and each time I want to direct my point to a particular person, I always make sure the person is not insulted no matter his or her point. Everybody is entitled to his point. You have continued to reveal your stuff by the kind of words coming out of your mouth. Imagine what you said "before me and my people paint Nigeria with our inborn criminality" With this comment, you did call all Niger Deltans criminals _ inherent one for that matter. The more you post, the more shameful you reveal yourself, that nothing good comes out of awoof man. Awoof, name them. 4, one, finish it. |

Re: May 29th The D-day? Will It Be Successful? by ebos(m): 8:30am On May 25, 2007 |
Nobody is refering to only Yaradua. We are talking of all the elective positions that took place on 14th and 21st April respectively. Yaradua is not only the problem but the rigging affected both House of Reps, Senate, Governorship and the Presidency. When will Nigerians elect the people they want to lead them? When rigging hits 90%, men it is bad for Nigeria. Look at Anambra State, the Governor, his Deputy, Ojukwu, Chieftains from other parties did not vote, etc. If these kind of people were disfranchised , what would be the fate of an Okada man? They just selected the people they want and told Nigerians to accept it whether they want it or not. Let us get the point. I'm only making my points not to insult anybody that give his point. |

@ebos you can continue to write from now till the next millennium, i will never change my stance that kidnappin, killing and throwing bombs is not the way to fight against injustice, you say you are from Umuahia, if you were not born or still a baby when Nigeria was at war with its self, then ask elders around you. I am sure the wise ones among them will tell you that war does not do anybody any good. Granted that they carry out their usual threat of blowing up all major oil installations in their area, so the roads, bridges, schools food etc etc will rise from the ruins. Some of you hide behind situations to want to prove that you are after justice. supposing you were in Dr Jonathan's village the day they bombed his private home and you sustained some injuries, will you still be praising CRIMINALS whose modus of fighting injustice is to kidnap for ransom and even engage in pure robbery. |

@awoof Anyway, the work I do to let go of my suffering diminishes the suffering of the whole universe. When I have room for my own pain, I have room for the pain of others. Only then can I be transformed into joy. As I heal, the Earth heals. It is on this ground that whatever mockery I have made against you that I say absove from ur mind , and sit down with us to settle our differences, resolve outstanding issues and talk about way forward. Even as I know u started it. It is now a past. |
