Apparently it is widely reported that black women, especially successful ones, in the USA struggle to find an eligible partner.

Statistics seem to fight against them and support the assertion.

- There are 1.8m more black women than men

- Only 50% of black women have been married by the time they are 30

- 42% of black women have never been married

- 70% of black highly educated women (i.e. with undergrad only or and those with additional postgrad) are single

- For every 1 black man that graduates from college there are 2 black women who have done same

- 70% of African Americans in postgrad studies (i.e. Masters, PhD, JD, MD etc) are women

- More than 10% of black men of marrying age (20 to 34) are in jail

- At least 1 in 4 black men have spent sometime in jail

- There are more black men of college/university age in jail than in college/university

- Over 1 in 5 black men did not successfully pass high school

- Almost 1 in 5 of black men are unemployed

The case of the black woman in America gets worse as a significant proportion of the black men that do make it and are highly successful prefer interracial dating.

Also generally black American men are heavily into infidelity and the black women have a bad reputation in regards to manners and demeanors which is seen as aggressive and does not help their desirability.

So, girls in America, is it a struggle to find a decent and eligible man?

This is like when a Nigerian is asked by a Danish guy why there is so much corruption in Nigerian, and the Nigerian man turns around and says: "There is corruption in Denmark too, so what is the big deal? Why are you trying to make us look bad? Is it because we is black?".

The thing there is the differential in "magnitude", which is the big deal!!!

Roki babe this is just a form of consolation that most women use but secretly a lot of them will rather been in a good relationship and are secretely jealous of their mates who are happily married. Life's too short and I'll be surprised if some ppl just decides to be single for no good reasons.

I innocently adviced her to take a break,come back home and stay a while,that i'm positive she'l get a guy. You need to see what the 'Akatas' did to me on that thread for my 'innocent' advice. ThankGOD Mukina deleted the entire thread.
But seriously,the black woman, not just in America but the 'western world' has a higher probability of dying single.

I believe it is not an isolated case so it shouldn't really be a black woman thing. Husbands are difficult to come by. While the number of blokes in the prisons and priests in the churches play a significant role in this, the girls themselves are not helping matters. There are so many women out there, yet so few wives. A handful of them have a take-home character. It's either they're too materialistic, class-conscious, choosy, artificial or blindly religious. A good number of them realize their weaknesses and set about correcting them when the milk has been spilt.

At least they should be getting a degree on equal terms as the girl.

The postgrad might not be that worth it because there might be no return on investment as the black guys face more of a barrier in getting jobs, especially top jobs that require PhD, JD or MBA.

Most of the men don't want to get married. Marriage is more of a woman thing.

The men are happy to be baby daddies. It suits their life perfectly.

Also, a lot of the black men marry outside the race. The women are more reluctant.

black women marry outside their race in very high numbers. This doesnt mean a lot of black women dont still stick to black males though.

Reality is that, even from the 2 to 1 superiority, it seems the girls are going to better schools and getting better grades.
