ZombiePUNISHER: So Abba Kyari was not qualified to be the Chief of Staff? A former director of UBA, Unilever and ExxonMobil didn't get there on Merit? It's not all padi-padi o. Btw, we all saw how the experienced Iweala allowed the treasury to be looted without restraint and didn't resign. We have to understand that the problem with Nigeria is the society. As long as we do not change our orientation, we will always produce the same kind of leaders. Simple! |

I can categorically say that the Nigerian youths can never be given power.. reading through the thread from Page 1 till now. I observed that Nigeria leadership isnt about the people in the helm of affairs but fge followers. u can all abuse, rants, insult and throw ethnic bants at one another.. but you all have been sidelined due to these characters.. the rich are raising their kids to see others as one..they travel to Madrid, Lisbon, LA, London, Kuala Lampurr etc and build bridges and make friends among all tribes. while you nobody rants and insult one another for fun.. and you want to make it.. lemme say this. The way a man think in his heart. so is he..and so does he write.. many of you here have missed opportunities and breakthrough chances but your hatred and resentment for other tribes and religious myopic had denied you such. you lots doesn't understand how life evolves and what is out there for you. maybe you think this is a faceless forum.. but mere background check on you can reveal who you are... continue the nonsense you doing.. |

No wonder Abba Kyari brought him back to Nigeria and made him minister, even Enugu state people don't know who Geoffrey Onyeama was before he was made a minister in 2015, after spending over 28 years in Switzerland. They are really good friends irrespective of ethnic differences. |

What exactly is your point sir? Are you saying Goeffery Onyeama who has B.A in Political Science from Columbia University, New-York, B.A in Law from Cambridge University, M.A from London School of Economics and LL.M from Cambridge University who worked with the United Nations for 30 years, retiring as Deputy Director-General of WIPO doesn't merit a Ministerial post of his Country? femi4: |

oyatz:The point is even with your degrees and hardwork, we have at least 100 people with the same or better pedigree yet not considered or get SELECTED as a Minister |

Many of you guys on Nairaland are just unnecessarily embittered. 1) All over the World, it is the ELITES that rule. 2) The Elites have playgrounds- Schools, Business or Ceremonies where they and/or their children meet. 3) When children from different backgrounds meet in elitist schools and graduate together, they usually have greater opportunities to work in reputable companies/organizations which can give them superb exposure and experience which in turn give them better chances of being considered for leadership positions than others. 4) In the US, most citizens who eventually become Governors, Senators and Presidents attended schools together at Yale, Princeton, MIT and Harvard Universities. 6) In the UK, most of the members of the House of Lords and Prime Ministers were groomed in Easton College, London School of Economics, Imperial College, Oxford and Cambridge Universities. 7) In Nigeria, some of the students who attended King's College, Lagos, Government College, Ibadan, Barewa College, Zaria , University of Ibadan and Ahmadu Bello University between 1960-1985 became Perm-Sec, VCs, Ambassadors, Top Military brass, Director-Generals, Senators, Governors and President. The Elites in Nigieria are actually like one big extended family which are interconnected and sometimes interrelated across party, religion or tribal lines. ZombiePUNISHER: |

1) Everybody can NOT be selected or appointed at once sir. 2) You don't necessarily need a Government appointment to contribute your own qouta to the development of your town, State and Nigeria. For instance, I know of a young lady who through dint of hardwork started as a teacher in a private school in 1990 but by 2020 has built groups of private schools which provide quality and affordable education to generartion of students in her environment. She has contributed to the educational advancement of her community than than a Commissioner of Education. femi4: |
