@ richyblack,
What else do you expect an unmarried girl to say? Its all part of the charade, so much noise making about 50-50. Let them marry and start crying about 50-50 first then we can take them seriously.  grin

How can you cook for your children and refuse to cook for your husband, insisting it must be 50-50? Does it make economic sense to cook for your children and expect your husband to go cook his own separate pot just because u must maintain this borrowed western archaic idea of women liberation?

unmarried girl yeah but no way am i going to be used angry if he wants to eat let him find the kitchen angry

econimic sense, physics sense biology sense i dont care angry let him go find a slave angry

Go and marry your WHITE woman lipsrsealed lipsrsealed lipsrsealed who cares

After they'll start complaining that black men prefer white girls. grin

davidylan:

una too talk sef, lets see how many of these women will dare walk into their marriages and tell their husbands to go hit Dunkin donuts for breakfast every morning. Notice how the "feminazi" wannabes are mainly unmarried girls/women. The married ones are too smart to buy into all these "am i a village girl/chef" nonsense.

Even the white girls they are trying to copy are busy struggling to learn to cook your african dishes to keep their african boyfriends!

You're right, many of them go online, get Naija recipes, and surprise their mates with it grin

While all these feminazi-wannabees are retrogressing to the tired and failed ways 1960's feminism. Rubbish! angry

where did you learn that one from? Where are the men who are too lazy to help themselves in the kitchen? I cook virtually all foods my mom ever cooked, i taught my female cousins to make meatpies naija style 6 months ago, i bake and know how to keep a kitchen sparkling clean all thanks to mama.

Most men i know have no problems whatsoever in the kitchen and certainly need no help from women who think marriage should be all about satisfying their every whims. I hear women say they should be pampered and spoilt and i laugh my head off! So men dont deserve to be spoilt too?
When you ask a woman what she wants in a man, she quickly reels off a whole dictionary of adjectives, just ask that she be able to boil ordinary water and she immediately starts talking about 50:50, pamperiing and spoiling.

A woman who can cook is no slave. She is an asset and a crown to her man.

More power to you "Chef". Maybe you can earn some extra bucks assisting Emeril.

My brothers are excellent cooks, mama did an excellent job. So you aren't the only male who can turn "water into wine" in the kitchen.

Thank God I can handle my own, because won't want to have to sprain someone's ankle now,

I can cook, and very well, he better can too,  or else.

It's my secret,

@topic,
My mother's eldest daughter works at 4 hospitals as a Nursing Director. That leaves little or time for household chores including cooking. Her husband does 99.9% of the work. He doesn't complain, afterall he dares not.
There were times when people started rumours about her not being to cook, thus her hussy sweating out in the kitchen. Far from the truth. We dragged into the kitchen by age 8.

I just hate when guys start generalising that ladies should be restricted to the kitchen. I know I won't be,

That's not by any stretch of the imagination, the argument here.We are taking issue with that rare specie of women, who can't cook and won't cook.Nobody in his right mind marries a woman solely for her culinary skills but we are saying that such skills are crucial for the success of a marriage

There is a difference between NOT being able to cook, and cannot cook, yes Sir I heard you loud and clear.
Just said, that some women may not be able to cook as often as they like, as work load and other factors may prevent them to.
I am not an advocate for laziness. We made sure our brother left his once lazy girlfriend who did nothing by drive up and down the island in what she didn't purchase. However, men need to also desist from this primitive way of thinking that their hands were made for only "smacking ladies", "playing with their privates", "maneuvering a remote" et al. They can use them (their hands) for cooking too,

PS> I-Man don't let me have to go take my pills now grin grin

This is bewildering! What has that got to do with women who can't cook at all.In your case, you can cook and so can your husband. In that sense, your situation doesn't apply here.It would apply if you couldn't cook and/or had no interest in cooking.I'm sure your husband would take issues with that.
Re: What Is The Value Of A Woman Who Can't Cook? by tommylee(m): 5:27pm On Jun 11, 2007
To me a woman has no value if she cannot cook the only thing that can help her,is if she is good in bed.

i'm begining to wonder at the many off point responses here too.

The topic is about women who wont/think it is beneath them to learn to cook. It has nothing to do with men who choose to cook with their wives.

@ Nairaland.

ENOUGH OF THESE CHEAP BLACKMAIL ON NIGERIAN WOMEN.

Why can't guys just admit the fact that they want to retain a culture of who takes care of me when mama is gone?
This is Africa, just like the rest of the world. Cooking is not womens' primary objective on earth after f**k her spouse overnight as some heartles men will claim is very important again. Abi no bi so?

This is for the women in the House :Big ups, we are getting there. Sooner or later they will find their space whether they like it or not" Nge Nge.
