What's stopping you from taking your life?

Have you ever taken medication before?

Worn a seatbelt while driving?

Whosoever tries to save their life will lose it remember?
Aunty, didn't you read the bolded in the quoted response?
When did taking safe medication or wearing a seatbelt become a violation of God's law? Blood Transfusion doesn't fit this category yet you come here to miscontrue what he said, just continue

Contrary to biblical injunction of Acts 1:8, they witness to Jehovah rather to Christ. They are not Christians. It is why they reduce Jesus Godliness to Godlessness, because they know more than Thomas who called him, "My Lord and my God". The version of gospel they preach his one that suits their fantasy just like Paul wrote to Timothy: "For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths".2 Timothy 4:3‭-‬4

They are delusional just like the man who started the sect. They teach heresy.
If Jesus is God, who was Jesus praying to in the mountains during his earthly existence?

We don't believe in Christmas nor celebrate it.. After all, it is not Biblical. It may surprise you to note Jesus was not born on December 25. Think about this: what's the role of Santa Claus with Jesus?

That blood transfusion one is really crazy. I heard of a pregnant woman that died last year because she refused to take blood transfusion. Because there is no matching blood should not even be in the statement. Don't bring Doctors into that belief. Once the ABO blood group and RhD antigen matches, you can take blood transfusion and there won't be any complication.
This is a religious issue rather than a medical one. Both the Old and New Testaments clearly command us to abstain from blood. ( Genesis 9:4; Leviticus 17:10; Deuteronomy 12:23; Acts 15:28, 29) Also, God views blood as representing life. (Leviticus 17:14) So we avoid taking blood not only in obedience to God but also out of respect for him as the Giver of life. Remember, he is the 'Giver of Life.'

You will be following Leviticus 3:17 over Luke 10:25-37 and still claim to be following God's law, all the other laws you were breaking you didn't bother about them.

First, church does not take anyone to heaven , it is actually a function of your personal relationship with God that matters the most. I know Bible encourages association with brethren.

Having said that, where I have problem with Jehovah witness's belief is that they use human logic to interpret the scripture, to me it is dangerous. Because the superiority of any human logic is sometimes based on circular training, personal experience and critical reasoning, which will not suffice when it comes to spiritual matters. For instance they believe since after the disciples received the holy spirit on the day of Pentecost, nothing like holy spirit again since after that time. I really do not like to argue scripture. I just try to hold my side anyway.

You are so right bro,
The question is, why go to that length to prove your support for God that forgives worst sins against family members ?
jeff1993:
I remember when I was in Ss3 ... I had this beautiful class mate of mine called Uchechi ...she was a very funny and lively girl and she was a Witness.

One fateful day she had an accident on her way to write NECO exam .... She lost a lot of blood and was the hospital requested for blood transfusion but the parents refused ... Everyday we went to the hospital we literally watched our classmate tether on the brink of death just because of a stupid manmade ideology.

Our principal had to involve social service authorities from the local govt and when they intervened, they took over the case and called the senior brother who was in another state to come and donate blood since the parents were adamant.

That was how Uchechi's life was saved but the unity of their family was never saved because she quitted the church when she went to Uni and her parents kind of partially disowned her.

Did Jesus break any of God's law to bring back those people from the dead? That is the point. We will never break God's law to try to save our present life. Never. It's like you put a gun to my throat to deny my faith and I succumb so that you might not fire. We will never succumb.
.

That's why I picked you up on the fact that you said the LIFE is full of PAIN and blah blah not need to do anything to save the life since the REAL LIFE is ahead.

That tells me you value life and you will do whatever is in your means to equally SAVE if it does not break GOD'S LAW. Very good!

Now you changed it DID JESUS BREAK God's law to bring them back?

Did the ORGANIZATION break God's law in accepting blood fraction transfusion? Since Acts 15 talks about ABSTAIN from blood

When you take medication, do you break God's law? No. When apply safety measures, like wearing a seatbelt, do you break God's law? No. But if you take blood in violation of God's law, that is where the problem lies. Did you get the point. God says the only use of blood is for atonement. Any other uses aside from that is a violation of his law. And God holds us accountable if we are reckless about life.

I think you misunderstood us. Without the help of the holy spirit, we Jehovah's Witnesses cannot go from door to door evangelizing. The holy spirit helps us to produce it's fruits of love, joy, peace, faith, kindness, goodness, mildness, patience, self control, etc. With those qualities we are empowered to continue bearing the responsibility of discipleship.
Yes we are believe in the outworking of the holy spirit.
What else do you to see for saying we do not believe in the holy spirit?

Before Pentecost, Jehovah's servants received HOLY spirit and continue to be filled with HOLY spirit down to this day..

John 6:51,Hebrews 10:10, if Jesus resurrected physically, then what did he sacrifice as offering for your sins?
If you give offering for your Church, you dey collect back your offering? (Think ooo , God give you brain...)

Spirit doesn't have flesh and bone, you be flesh and bone, why you no fit appear and disappear at anytime ? grin grin grin
(Think about it seriously....)

Have you ever asked ,Why Mary Magdalene and the early Christians could not recognize Jesus Christ on several occasions when he appeared in their midst and spoke to them?
John 20:13-16. John 21:4.

Angels are spirit beings. Why were angels able to meet Mary Magdalene in the flesh and speak to her? John 20:11-13. Hebrews 13:2
(Use your brain and think. God help you....
If you understand that, then you will understand how Jesus appeared to his apostles in the flesh.)

1Cor15:44-47,
"The last Adam Jesus Christ is a life giving spirit"
Is that not clear enough?

1 Peter 3:18 ,says Jesus Christ was put to death in the physical realm and God raised him to life in the spiritual realm.

Peter was an eye witness of Jesus resurrection.
Was Peter LYING?

Let's talk about the army. Suppose we join the army and I'm a JW Nigerian soldier and Nigeria is warring against Ghana. I guess that's what fighting for peace means to you.It means I will have to kill another JW soldier. We love our brothers. We don't believe peace can come from humankind, take note.
omoharry:
They do not support joining the army nor fighting for their country. But they like the peace and freedom that comes to the country as a result of the blood spilled by others people from other religion so as to bring peace & freedom to world and country .
Left alone for JW, Hitler & his descendants would have been ruling the world and every non Germans would be slaves or other race who are considered totally inferior would have been exterminated .

The way this people who called themselves “Jehovah witnesses” behaves ehh. This blood transfusion thing naim weak me pass.
I can never forget Mama Precious. It was her delivery day she was rushed to this hospital where my mom works, she was my neighbor , she had lots of birth complications this made her lose lots of blood. In fact, she had broken water inside her it’s a very ugly situation that day you could see it all on the face of her husband. Even the cab that brought us to the hospital was blood flooded. Soon, the doctor said she has to go through an operation session but that she has to receive two pant of blood first. The man bluntly refused even with his wife and unborn child at the blink of death. We all keep begging and talking to this man for more than 40min he refused and soon the Doctor in charge got angry and asked them to leave the hospital while he goes home for rest. She died that day I hated that man till date for that incident. If y’all really have faith like you said then why do you use drugs If you had malaria why don’t you wait on the lord and continue attending meetings. Don’t you know drugs also contain some ingredients that isn’t 100% good for the body. Or if you said blood transfusions are cannibalisms act like most of you claim, then why do your girls rub makeups don’t you know most of this cosmetic ingredients are worms from graveyards?? Feeding on dead bodies.Although I’ve meet smart Jehovah witnesses who leave their environment to another place to have themselves treated without anyone knowing. Those ones get sense na. I know y’all wouldn’t listen to what anyone has to say but please if you’re in this situation I beg you let the person have his/her blood transfusions and you can disown them or dismember them. Just let this beautiful souls live please!!
We must obey God as ruler rather than men. Thanks. He is still the giver of life.
