Interesting Friday Practise sessions. Has Webber been given Vettel's car by mistake this weekend ??

Webber is just doing gra, gra. Vettel is just chilling for qualifying tomorrow.

Lewis is 3rd (1 sec behind the Red Bulls), Alonso is 4th for the first time this year, after starting 5th in all other races.

Prediction for the start. . . Button and Petrov to beat Alonso off the line; Lewis to take Vettel by the first corner.

Finally Webber drives d RB7 d way he should. I still think Vettel would probably have taken pole had he not decided to be content with p2 and save tires for d race. D start tomorrow should be interesting. Vettel knows Lewis will come at him hard and he will also be looking catch Webber who tends to start poorly, meanwhile Alonso is right on Lewis (his nemesis) tail, with Button ready and eager to pounce.

I fear a crash is Vettels KERS still isn't working.

Beautiful from Fernando Alonso. That is why he is a 2 time WDC winner. Brilliant start and clever driving with a car significantly worse than red bull & mclaren. I just wonder if red bull aren't having a re-emergence of their kers issues.

I don't think Webber Kers is working, don't know about Vettel. Considering d way Webber is struggling to get past Alonso despite having d faster car and DRS, it looks like he doesn't have it.

Can Vettel defend for d final few laps. Without kers I don't think he can resist Lewis for too long. But my has Alonso fallen away after a decent beginning.

Good one from Vettel, this was a legit victory not the car. Its game on between him and Lewis though, McLaren have definetly increased the speed of their car.

Well done Seb. It ain't easy holding off a hard charging Hamilton for over 10 laps. Talk about cool and composed driving. Button did well to snatch 3rd on a 3 stop, but he was lucky that Alonso basically ensured that for long portions Webber wasn't competitive.

Vettel's lead at d top only seems to be growing, who can catch him. Red Bull need to get kers more reliable. It obvious now that Mclaren are getting closer and they will need kers eventually.

Didn't now he stabbed d guy with a champagne glass . See agbero tendencies in F1. Well Sutil and his management are talking tough about clearing his name if it goes to court. Maybe he has a strong defense. But I wonder what could have caused him to do something so extreme. I had thought it is was a simple brawl, not a stabbing.

I'm shocked at it too. I really feel for the guy, been following him since he was shunted (and his race ended) by Kimi in monte carlo after showing rare skills for a new man in a new team.
He seems to have lost his cool and basically gone gaga after being told to be quieter by the Renault boss. I don't see how his career can survive, since criminal charges have been made.

Ferarri still haven't been able to get over the in season testing ban. Thats one team thats desperately needs technical talent, money isn't the issue cos they outspend all other teams by a margin. Whats not lacking is electronics skills tho, look how Alonso could rocket from 4th to 1st!! Some wicked engine mapping that was!

Yeah he used ALL his KERS energy just to get in infront!!! Knowing that Catalunya is one of the hardest tracks to over take
I bet his heart and all of his Spanish fans would have sanked when Hamilton came up to lap him!

Monaco is a "he mans" track. It will surely separate the boys from the men, Vettel WILL NOT win there.
I'll wager on Lewis, Jenson and Webber. Alonso is an outsider.

I wouldn't write off Alonso. He's a very rugged driver who's hard to overtake. I expect the narrow roads and bends to favor him and Schumacher.  Remember they're both experienced. Webber should be on the podium if his KERS doesn't disappoint. I don't expect Vettel not to be on the podium even though he might not finish first.

I expect many inexperienced newbies to crash. Anxiously awaiting the qualifying results in < an hour.

Monaco is gonna be much more exciting.

With d grid looking d way d way it is now, I foresee a few crashes tomorrow. I hope it is an incident free race.

Also hope Perez is okay.

Its a pity everybody's gonna play catch up to S.Vettel yet again.

Perez's crash ruined what would have been an really exciting pole shootout. Sad.
Even sadder, there'll be no rain tomorrow. But as always, we can expect crashes in Monaco, uncertainty and for once, safety car periods. . . at long last!

I agree with you on Hamilton's aggressiveness. This type of track favors a resilient driver like Alonso. His perseverance will see him to the podium. The guy deserves it. I'm sorry about Webber. I like him a lot but may the best man win!

I really hate these new tyres, we don't get to see real driving anymore, cos they are preserving tyres.
