We Nigerian are very docile when it comes to challenging authority / government.
We should be outraged that we are being cheated out of the good government we deserve.

Perhaps if an exit poll were to my prove to us that CPC may have in reality won the majority of NASS seats, it may anger us enough to do something about standing up for our rights/ protesting/ demanding a free and fair elections/ re-run elections.

Abuja Election Shocker: 12 Persons Arrested With 1 million Presidential Election Ballot Papers!

The Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) has alerted Nigerians of massive efforts to print election ballots for the purpose of rigging next Saturday’s presidential elections, for which 12 people are now under arrest.

 This follows the discovery by the police that over one million ballots had been printed at Tulip Press, an Abuja printer.  The men are in police custody at Utako Police Station, Abuja, and the DPO, Mallam Usman Umar, has confirmed that the case has been transferred to the Force Headquarters.

In a statement issued this evening, signed by Rotimi Fashakin, the National Publicity Secretary of the CPC, the Congress said two men, Akinlolu Akinto and Habila Stephen, were first caught with 100,000 ballot papers loaded into a van.  In the ensuing police investigation, the other one million ballots were discovered.

The CPC noted the allegation that TULIP Press was responsible for the fake ballot papers that have been found in Kebbi, Sokoto, Zamfara and other parts of North West.

“In another potential ‘show stopper’ for the presidential elections, our impeccable sources pointed that a lorry load of ballot papers had been removed from INEC stores to the Aso rock villa, ostensibly as samples for the view of Candidate Goodluck Jonathan,” the Congress said.  “When INEC was confronted with this allegation, the veracity of which was confirmed we were told the matter is still under investigation!”

It said it recognizes that Saturday’s presidential election “is a ‘do or die’ for some because they have a lot to explain to the Nigerian people, should they lose,” for which no effort is being spared to ensure victory.
The CPC then appealed to its supporters to be even more determined to be prepared to give the final push for the espousal of a new Nation.

People could lie / "generate noise" if they want - this would not affect the exit poll as they would be only a small percentage of respondents.

An exit poll is simply to ask people which party they voted for:

Today i met with the Jarus early in the morning on the Island to collect 17 Posters from him and a short discussion on the progress of the group. I also gave him my widow's mite of N10,000 in support of the BB Integrity Vanguard Group. I was also at the Bank to pay for Bulksms to start sending out messages from today till the day of election. I Plan to send 1000 sms per day for 5days.

@ GenBuhari the question is what do need exit polls for? Do you need exit polls for the sake of exit polls or to aid in making accurate prediction on the outcomes of the election.

If its the later then exit polls in itself cannot be used in calling an election. The best you can do is an average of various exit polls.

You can conduct one if you choose, point is that it does not in any way suggest the results of the polls.

@ ceah how much does it cost to send bulk SMS, and how is it targeted i.e. where does the sender get the numbers to send from. Might sound stupid but truth is I dont understand it.

If you can help find out, if the senders can target a certain area, or those that load a certain amount monthly/weekly i.e. low amounts. I will be interested in sending to people leaving in rural areas on the morning of election, to get them out to vote

Do you understand that Buhari cannot even govern effectively as president if most of the seats in NASS are taken up by corrupt members of PDP and other parties? .

The you accept that if it is indeed the case that CPC truley won the NASS elections but was cheated, it would be godd for us to have some evidence basis to challenge the published results. Also if we are going to challenge the resulsts it needs to be done prompltly , we should not wait a week before starting to do this, We would lose credibility.

@GenBuhari, I understand your passion and your point, but we simply do not have the resources and capability to conduct exit polls on the ground and make people see that as enough evidence to challenge election results, The Nigerian law and our political culture is not designed to recognise that yet, it will not convince gullible Nigerians and get the reactions we need if PDP rigs.

Now, you can create an exit poll on Nairaland and ask Jarus and other MODs to sticky it for us, tops we will have 500 to 1000 comments on it, it will not constitute an evidence of rigging. it Will not make people doubt these PDP lies. it's just Nairaland.

I'm certain PDP is rigging this election. I posted a story about CPC challenging the Nasarawa result yesterday and I'm sure you've seen other challenges in Kwara, Sokoto, Abia and Anambra, Only gullible and any-thing-goes Nigerians will call this election free and fair. I agree with you on that.

To wake the people up to challenge this subtle PDP rigging CPC is now asking for party mandated agents and volunteers, because the lack of that critical logistic led to massive rigging at the rural areas and at the collation centers last week.

The argument for more party agent and CPC eyes in the rural and urban areas is that, if CPC party agents have documented evidences of rigging and also refuse to accept or sign doctored INEC result sheets, then we will have a basis to challenge PDP's rigging both legally and by popular uprising.

The PDP strategy is simple: make GEJ look nice, humble and fair so the people will not hate him like they hate PDP, but still rig massively when they are not looking,: at collation centers, rural ares, government offices Police stations. e.t.c

Unfortunately millions are drinking that GEJ cool aid, but with evidence of rigging and the hard core rejection of doctored results by CPC and ACN, GEJ's fake persona will be clear for all to see, then we can ask the people to come on the streets and challenge them.

PDP is sure playing with fire, but we must do our best to make sure they get burned.
