Folowing from your statement jarus/aisha and all, i think there should be a bit of strategy guiding campaigns/expenses. What jarus is doning so far is fantastic, definately lagos/osun/oyo and the SW states should be in play,

We need to divide states into Safe, Swing and Lost. in my opinion no need investing a penny in Rivers/Bayelsa, not becos its not important but realistically we know we cant win those states.

i dont know if theres someone in here that understand the country demography, but if we can draw up the 36 states and divide them by local govts then we can begin to have a realistic view of expectations.

Can we leverage on the central campaign, pains me am not in naija i would have carried this on my head, 2 -3 weeks vacation

@JARUS

ACN just got control of Osun state, stop trying to blame the party for the ineptitude of the Osun Radio guys, its not going to make ur cause here any better.

why ?

BB wont be winning in Osun and thats for sure!!!

BB might win in Lagos but have u guys experienced such problems with state stations (TV and Radio) ?

Nope, Osun should definately play, the votes should be able to swing in a free and fair election.

The PDP does not have the bext image in the SW, so it should be in play,

Winning Osun is not the issue here, getting 25% is what matters, infact BB is not looking to winning any SW states, all we need is 25% each and we are okay.

I think those talking of 25% are getting it wrong. What is the consitutional provision on the declaration of winner in a predisential election? The relevant section of the constitution says the candidtae must score at least 1/3 of 2/3 of the 37 states plus fct abuja . We should be looking at 33.3% not 25% in 25 states of the federation.

I stand to be corrected

I live in Port-Harcourt but am not voting for sentiment. As for me and my family and good number of my friends we are voting for change which the BB stands for

Nigeria Overall Presidential Election Last Update: 22-Apr-2003 19:25
Quota Requirement: The winner of the election shall have the highest number of votes cast at the election and not less than one quarter of all the votes cast in each of at least two thirds of the States in the Federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT)
Party
Candidates
Total Votes Scored
% of Valid Votes
Quotas
ANPP
Pres: Buhari Muhammadu Vice: Okadigbo Chuba
12,710,022
32.19%
19 of 25 states.

this is what buhari had in 2003 when he was wrongly villified as an islamist! With Tunde Bakare doing a great job in the south west, this time we will get the required 25% in 24 states (19 Northern states, 5 SOUTH WESTERN STATES and FCT) I am very sure Buhari will have the highest number of votes (north west, north east, and niger and nasarawa in north central)

we can win this election, by God's grace of course.

The revelation from the International Republican Institute's report on 2003 elections in PH is shocking! Buhari is indeed popular and has been a victim of cheating.

Closing
Team 12 decided to close all 4 polling stations, ward 12 unit 23, and ward 10 units 34-36. Unit 23, having effectively opened at 3:00 remained open until 5:50 PM. Closing also grossly varied from the process stipulated in electoral code. The unused and tendered ballots were not counted, PDP agents assisted the poll orderly in counting the total number of Gubernatorial ballots cast, 43 with 1 invalid. The following results were recorded for the Gubernatorial election:
NAC
PDP
ANPP
NCP
1
21
17
1
and for the Presidential election, no total count was taken, no tendered or unused ballots counted, 3 ballots deemed invalid and the final results were:
ABGA
NAC
PDP
ANPP
JP
1
1
20
15
1
After tabulating the results, the ballot boxes were transported, allegedly to the ward collation center in a car driven and secured by only PDP agents.
Team 12 observed the same irregularities in ward 10, unit 36 where tendered and unused ballots were not accounted for, PDP agents assisted in the count and the following results were recorded on the loose leaf results sheets for the Presidential elections:
PDP
ANPP
ABGA
JP
14
18
5
4
And for the gubernatorial elections the following results:
ANPP
PDP
NCP
ABGA
APLP
19
15
1
2
1
Finally, Team 12 observed closing for ward 10 unit 34 where the same tabulating irregularities existed and the final count for Presidential elections was:
PDP
ANPP
JP
10
9
1
Gubernatorial:
PDP
ANPP
JP
16
8
1
85
No transportation of ballot boxes was present before Team 12 left the polling station for the ward collation center. INEC officials present were attempting to hitchhike or raise the money for a taxi to take the ballot boxes to the ward collation center when Team 12 left.
Ward Collation
Team 12 arrived at the ward 10 collation center at approximately 7:30 and observed an atmosphere of complete chaos. A large crowd of angry people, ballot boxes deposited in no particular order, no electricity and a very tense atmosphere. For security reasons, Team 12 left immediately after arrival.
At 11:30, Team 12 went to the INEC headquarters for a second time (the first time at 7:50 was inconclusive) and observed the following recorded numbers for the Ikweri LGA recorded in the INEC official log for the Presidential elections, no numbers were available for the Gubernatorial elections:
AD: 346 NCP: 35
ANPP: 1876 NDP: 157
APGA: 195 PDP: 91566
JP: 331 PSP: 10
LDPN: 83 UDP: 6
MDJ: 30 UNPP: 665
A total of 98,116 votes counted.

It's not my money o. It's money collectively raised through this thread. We raised 765,000 with somebody putting 500,000.

Our expenses todate are:
Production of English Jingle: 31,500
Production of Yoruba Jingle: 30,000
Wazobia Lagos Jingle(4 slots -05,06 April) 84,270
Wazobia Lagos advert( 8 slots, 07,10, 11,12 April) 167,245
Cool Lagos advert (8 slots, 07, 10, 11, 12 April) 135,548
Wazobia PH (4 slots, 06, 07, 10 April) 73,257
Splash FM Ibadan(6 slots, 10,11,12 April) 120,000
Osun Radio(6 slots, 11, 12, 13 April) 92,000

TOTAL EXPENSES; 733,820
TOTAL CONTRIBUTIONS: 765,000
BALANCE AS AT TODAY: 31, 180

More donations will be welcome, so as to reach other areas. I'm particularly planning hitting Kwara with our Yoruba jingle; also I learnt Buhari is gaining momentum in Ibadan, so I think in addition to our already billed English jingle for Ibadan splash FM, we also need to use Yoruba version there. Also, by Tuesday our already paid for slots will be expiring, so we need to extend them to Tuesday and Wednesday next week before 48-hrs rule comes into effect on Thursday/Friday next week.

Well done Jarus! I love your accountability. . . thats what we get with BB ticket/team cool

I equally agree with you on the need to do more in Oyo State. I would have sent in some money but my family and I are financially involved with CPC Lagos (My home State) already. And if the feelers am getting is true, the opposition in Lagos should be expecting a rude shock in this election. Just as some posters here already said, a lot of people will be voting for Fasola and Buhari in Lagos, they are just not making noise about their choice of Buhari.
Re: Report Your Efforts On Buhari-bakare Team Here by OAM4J: 5:55pm On Apr 08, 2011
Still wish we can have copies of those jingles both the English and Yoruba, let's spread it everywhere.

All,
This is just to acknowledge the great job you're doing in support of the BB ticket. It's so touching to see the personal efforts every1 is putting to realise the same dream, selflessly.

I live in Lagos and do a lot of 1-on-1 job here too. I think the Facebook idea is great. It'll only expand the reach. Remember, EVERY VOTE COUNTS.

Oam4g,
thats the most intriging part of lagos, they wil vote BB bt nt just going public like some of us (i can assure u they will pee in their pants wen results re finally released). Events of few days has really shown me that the extension is the best thing to happen to the BB team.No iota of doubt that we re wining.

U need to hear the general notion in my area that i was paid cos i invented the BB syndrome like a joke and it has bcome a virus penetrating evri vulnerable GEJ supporter into the camp cos its just impossible for them to defend GEJ&imposible to fault Buharis uncoruptability yl tunde bakare has made the religious sentiment a no point.

We re at advantage cos we re operating 4rm the stand point of knowledge, facts and records, the cross of PDPs 12yrs misrule is just too heavy for GEJ to carry til election day.

I stay in itire, surulere yl i move around to have a feel within and can assure you we are at advantage.

It seems Nigerians living in Naija use Twitter more regularly than FB. News spread faster on twitter IMO.

People can still change their minds at that secret polling booth, The undecided are probably more than we think.

Is there anyway i can get supports down here in Portharcourt, i need flayers and posters and the voter sheet sample with Logo. The CPC here is just a sorry case, anti-party, I am planning to run the last grandmaster grass root motivation.  It is not easy hear in Ph, but i want to believe that its a game of number anything we get here is a plus. If we can be proactive and relentless with the aliens we can make more than some states despite its GEJ area.
