When it comes to massive corruption Delta,Bayelsa,Edo and Rivers will give Lagos a run for it's money. This states should be model states and be the most developed based on the 13% derivation and huge concentration of oil companies in the area, since 1999. And should have eased the pressure on Lagos and Abuja.

Delta state has the worst political office holders you can ever think of. The state isn't blessed with good leaders at all. The last time we saw real infrastructure development was even during Ibori administration. Even though that adminstration threw the state into debts.

Uduaghan was the worst. Nothing to show for his 8 years, aside the Asaba airport. He practically wasted the state resources on white elephant project that even saw the light of the day. (Oleri park, BRT, Modern bus terminal and warri industrial back comes to mind).

The current administration is constructing 1" thickness road and he's calling himself road master (I shame).

Thuggery, Development fee and all forms of youth restivensss finished that city

Companies like Camco, Texaco, schlumberger, B+B etc. Today, that road is a ghost of itself.
Its painful.
I also blame the youth. Their incessant restiveness drove away all these companies. The government also failed too in provided needed security.

I feel sad when I see thread like this about my state. it's so embarrassing that places like warri, sapele,ughelli, asaba and some other top places in Delta can't even rival some cities in Nigeria the level of corruption in that state is mind blowing and no one cares about it. PDP government has destroyed that state same way they destroyed Nigeria for 16 years. I am not saying APC would have done better if they're in power though. The most annoying thing about people in Delta is defending that useless thief called James ibori. saying he still remains the best governor of the state despite the money he stole. had he been there was massive development in the state during his time as a governor his successors would have done better to surpass his achievements. Ibori killed Delta state and the people themselves. no one should come here and defend corruption because I noticed that is what most of the people here are good at.

The other side of Warri-James Ibori is considered the best Governor since return to democratic rule in 1999, even though according to Nuhu Ribadu he was stealing 50% of the states allocation.He has the best record in road construction both in Warri and across Delta state. After he left office his successors, just focused on looting and sharing money to their cronies.

Most people would laugh at this your analysis! Though Warri does have a slight shot at being a better city than the way it currently is. But Lagos was once the capital of Nigeria. How many roads do we have in Lagos today?

Secondly, most northerners are put in offices like the IGP, EFCC, DSS etc. Do you expect them to convict fellow northerners are corrupt? Obviously, the SS, SW and SE leaders will suffer in the hands of these organizations!

Please remind me how many Northerners have been convicted in the hands of these organizations, does it mean there is no corruption going on there?

Nuhu Ribadu said James Ibori looted 50% of the state allocation during his 8 year tenure. On the other hand Lucky Igbinedion was i'm sure was likely looting 90% of the state allocation, couldn't even fix the road to his mansion in GRA Benin, . And Oshiomhole was almost at bad, your state didn't have so they started borrowing money to loot in Edo.

Edo state external debt is N276 Billion, and domestic debt of N100 billion is with nothing major to show for the debt and imagine this is in addition to state allocation and IGR. Look at Godwin Obaseki he had nothing to show for his 4 years, and only got support because Edo state people do not support godfatherism like Lagosians.
