Buying from a shop is always advisable.... You can never be duped that way.

The easiest way to be duped is patronizing those guys standing by the side of the road calling you to buy or exchange phones with them.

same here. I’m extra cautious, i do all necessary so that the necessary don’t occur. But that don’t mean it can’t happen tho, we pray never to fall victims of such evil acts.

There is a market in China, I've forgotten the name, it's more like our computer village, but there, they make whitelabel phone, you can ask the to make a phone with your name on it, they can build a phone with iPhone casing but an Android OS, and the phones are very cheap.
I'm sure those guys got it from there.

Those days in Port Harcourt (Garrison) its a like phone/computer village.
it happened to me, I went to sell blackberry bold 2 for 45k, I don't know what happened, but I found myself shouting for help and looking for the supposed buyer of the phone. Luckily I recognised the face of the guy.

I couldn't eat throughout that day, so I went to Garrison the next day, and paid police to help me standby for a week at Garrison (Garrison became my second home)

After few days the idiot came to Garrison, immediately I saw him, I alerted the police who pounced on him.

The guy don sell the phone since, so I got part my money back.
So anytime I enter there, na to shine my eyes too. And don't follow anyone to any hideout to price phone. Infact. Go with 2 or 3 persons. Close to a bank or eatery sef.

Chai.. you see that Garrison, even someone you know will dupe you.. that was the case of my brother.. our childhood neighbor showed him pepper there...
