The average Nigerian is in Nigeria, most probably Lagos (the melting pot). Forget about all those living outside Nigeria, in this situation they can be conveniently considered as outliers.

Can 140 million people, who on the average are not fraudulent, allow a fraudulent government rule over them for (at least) eight years?

I always remember one evening at the NYSC camp in Lagos; OBJ was president then. A group of corpers (maybe 15) were having a discussion about Nigeria. All were complaining about the level of corruption in the system and gave ample anecdotes. Then the question was asked "how many of you will steal money enrich yourselves if you get into power/government?", to my horror, excluding two people, all the corpers responded in the affirmative! From my experience, I believe such a view is widespread in Nigeria - "Omo, if I enter that place, I go just chop clean mouth, I go collect my own share of the national cake".

I think a more appropriate question would be "why the average Nigerian is fraudulent?".

Let me tell you who the average Nigerian is you pathetic fcuks - the petty trader selling by the roadside, the truckpushers pushing heavy loads through the streets, the buns and puff-puff seller by the roadside trying to get that paper, the purewater seller hustling during traffic jams,  the 7yr olds hawking bread with their mothers, the obiomas patching those worn out trousers, the shoe makers and street cobblers going from house to house, the dirty  mechanics and rewirers, the okada riders and taxi drivers with their rickety cars - those are the[b] fuckin' [/b] average Nigerians you bastards look down on everyday in your bid to feel 'better' and 'superior'. If i was so "fraudulent", then would i clarified that there was a mix-up? Of what use would i sign in as another person, then later say that i posted as Po Deep if it was meant to defraud you and others?

@ gbade.x those average Nigerians ,farmer ,okada rider,taxi driver,carpenter,brick layer etc work very hard but more than 50% of them will rip you off at the slightest opportunity.
I keep saying Nigerians are too sensitive to the word fraud, it does not mean only 419 or yahoo yahoo. If you be fast guy or smart guy or you will take advantage of some ones ignorance in any way then you are fruadulent.

when i worked at a cybercafé, i sent abuse reports to yahoo concerning scammers that sent fraud mails to my box, sent addresses of these scammers to EFCC's website. What i get sensitive and pissed off about is the tendency of Nigerians abroad to look down on Nigerians in Naija, heap blames of whatever crime that a Nigerian commits on local Nigerians, and the mindset that nothing good will ever come out of Nigeria.
