My friends name was already 'ticked' when he wanted to cast his vote in Rivers States. . . .And his name was equally ticked in the last weeks election. So how comes? |

aletheia: Why wasn't there the same turnout in Ebonyi, if the "average Igbo" viewed it as a referendum? 48% turnout is high, but not at laugh-out-loud levels like 83% in Imo. |

^Sorry if the 83% turnout in Imo has got your goat. Take your case to the Presidential Elections Tribunal. Or even better offer your expertise to CPC, to help them prove their case. |

Wow! Ekt_bears thread is now several pages long? I've never seen such a dogged defense of the silliest arguments, driven only by ethnic bigotry and based only on, ifs, buts and why's. . . .Mind boggling! |

GEJ would win in SS/SE rigging or no rigging but PDP Rigged in Rivers State. No arguments. I voted in Rivers State. At my polling unit. Unit 2, Ward 4. Shell Gate. Bonny LGA Registered Voters. 1,187 Total Votes Cast. 454 PDP 432 PDC 1 Void 21 Same kind of (REAL) figures were repeated all round the State. INEC lost a believer when Rivers State results came through. In Ikwerre LGA, Ubima ward 4, not sure about unit, Gov. Amaechi complained about low turnout, on TV. GEJ/PDP got 99% of the votes cast but NO 76% voter turnout!. In most creek and fishing villages, Votes were simply allocated to PDP. Mr Buhari needs to call his thugs to order. So many innocents who probably did not vote at all are being killed for the sins of PDP Wetin sef, must Northerners kill non Muslims all the time?! |

^-- Thank you. One honest man, at least. From your post, 38.25% voter turnout at your location. Abagworo saw similar turnout where he voted. This is in line with what was reported in the SW and certain other places. . . a fairly reasonable turnout figure. Nothing obviously fake like 76% turnout. Heh, Governor Amaechi complained about low voter turnout. . . and did something to "fix" this problem I condemn the violence in the north as well. Innocents should not die due to the selfish actions of a few riggers. |

^^^^^^^^ So what is your argument. do you disagree with the percentage of valid votes that went to GEJ or you disagree with the percentage turn out? or both? so that we can help you. |

Its laughable that some people sit in the comfort of their chairs in Europe and America, and yet manage to speak with authority on an election they were not part off. |

"I am from the Heartland of the Southeast, i support our Ijaw brother or Niger Delta cousin GEJ. Since the end of the civil war which i call genocide, no other nigerian president has ever looked at the southeast. GEJ has impacted on my grandma's life by dualising the PortHarcote express road that runs across my village. All she knew was a man call Ebele Azukiwe built the road. You may call him an ijaw man or southsouth but granny loved Ebele the man that build her road. She loved the man Ebelechukwu which means God's mercy. Her disabled husband was killed by hausa-fulani man who knocked her out with the butt of his gun as she pleaded for his mercy. Considering that her husband was very ill and was not part of the Biafran army she was unable to leave the love of her life and run. The Hausa-Fulani man shot her husband at point blank. People like my Granny still bears the scar of the past, she is aware of all the killings that happens in the North so she was very scarred of the tall Hausa-Fulani man. People like granny and all her friends like Ebele the kind man that tarred the express road. Now she can go to her farm or market on her bike. Uncle lives in Portharcote can visit granny in 20 mins from the usual 2 hours on the old pot hole ridden roads. Uncle went back to village to vote. Uncle runs a sucessful business and he can travel to Europe via Eungu airport which is very good for his business. All previous presidents paid lip service but Ebele made it an international airport. Granny claimed that Ebele visited the capital city about 3 times and the last one he was wearing the red cap and a black top with the lion head dancing Ibo cultural music. Who do you think my granny and uncle will vote for? GEJ was too popular and they might be many people who feel the same like my granny and uncle in the southeast. PDP to my granny meant nothing but the kind man that fixed the road changedf her life. What did Buhari do to impact on granny's life from 1983 to 1985?" |
