I dislike you so much. Why did they target Christians, Southern Corpers and just any regular Southerner who lives in the North. You are a dammn apologist.

Southerners, xtians were an uber minority in the total casualty that accrued! If you look at it, how many igbos in sabon gari kano or kaduna south were killed. Corpers were maimed because it was believed they were PDP agents and had a hand in rigging rightly or wrongly!! Now the brunt of the damage went to northern pdp agents, see how their homes were totally destroyed! PDP rigged, burn and kill them, that was the mantra. How many southerners were actually killed, sorry to break it to you, NOT THAT MANY, VERY LITTLE. But propaganda machines are fanning your all too naive emotions.

Beaf:

You can say all you like about Obj, but his regime moved Nigeria forward more than any of the retrogressive regimes that ruled us for 38 years ever did. Obj started the diversification away from oil, paid our debts. In his time Nigerians became proud enough of their culture for Nollywood and Nigerian music to take root and capture Africa, also comedy to sprang out of the streets of Delta state to become a multi-million Naira phenomenon.

The 38 years of Northern rule saw the dismantling of the groundnut pyramids, the death of manufacturing, cotton, rubber, cocoa, oil palm, education, standards bodies, morality, humanity and the enslavement and inhuman pollution of the Niger Delta.
The 38 wasted years also saw the manufacture of 10 million almajiri's and the segregation of the core-North through sharia.

Dude, handing power back at this time will be a gross error. There will be no qualms handing power to a Middle Belter though, but core-North? Thats a strict NO.

Well if we want to pick on things, Nollywood existed prior to OBJ, get it straight! During Abacha, the economy was stable, the naira never devalued meaning inflation was under control, he created the PTF that provided a lot of infrastructure to the nation etc etc. Did Obj not sink $16 billion into power that is still unaccounted for?? First of all, the south south doesn't own the PDP, the PDP floats on the north, it was a northern party at its inception, IBB funded it. The elite in the north and south are the best of friends! Whats worrying you is "new-elevation syndrome" you have never produced a president, now that you have (SS) you feel that the world belongs to you and you can pick and choose who to give power to etc. My friend, nothing works like that, GEJ would not be there is he didnt have the backing of the northern elite. The backlash in the north was targeted against the northern elite including emirs who saw their palaces and houses burned to the ground!!

The north is saying enough of the oppression, while the south is being hood winked and deceived into believing that the north have killed only southerners and its a religious affair. HA!! whos zooming who. With claims of superior education, you still fall for the cheapest propaganda and cannot for the life of you see the emperor behind the veil. to prevent you from understanding what the average northerners did in the riots, fighting oppression, you were fed tainted stories and complete hogwash. you fell, you chopped it!! No electricity for you for the next 4 yrs. its a PDP thing not a GEJ thing, he's part and parcel and furthermore, a mere figurehead in the PDP, he's controlled by OBJ who in turn does nothing without consulting some very powerful people in the north, people you've never heard of but the kind of people you'll see the likes of atiku sitting on the floors (not chairs) of their living rooms. Keep deceiving yourself. THE NORTH FOUGHT AGAINST RIGGING.

$350m Seized From Abacha’s Son By Swiss Authorities
Authorities in Switzerland have ordered the seizure of assets worth around $350m from Abba Abacha, son of Sani Abacha, ex-President of Nigeria. The order came as a result of a suspended custodial sentence emanating from a conviction of being a member of a criminal organisation. Abba, one of the sons of the late military dictator, has also been convicted for graft.

Southerners have been brain washed and hood winked. You now believe northerners attacked southern christians while completely disregarding where the bulk of the destruction went to which is wealthy northern elite!!! the north wants to start a real revolution and in order for the southern brothers not to pick up and get ideas, you were made to believe that they are only killing southerners, southerners make up less that 0.5% of those killed in the riots but thats been blown out of proportion. your claim to superior education is indeed a farce.
Re: North-south Dialogue. What Southerners Misunderstand by calaway: 5:33am On Apr 26, 2011
you northern people are just wicked to the bone. why do you disrespect the murdered souls with lies. we all know that that no single hausa man pdp or otherwise lost his life in the carnage of course they had their houses and cars burnt, but this is the limit to which an hausa/muslim man can go on a fellow muslim. more than 51 youth corpers and hundreds of other southern people have been killed  and are still getin killed. even yuguda soon who was in nysc kit was attacked and when the almajiris found he was an islamic faithful they let him be. i repeat no hausa man lost his life to the almajiris!!! southerner dont allow these northern die hard demons sown any doubt in you.  they kill your kind eventually !!!! no matter how educated, reasonable or classy muttalab.

I have never seen a grown up tell so many shameful and disgusting lies as gadogado, but then he praises Abacha and PTF, so no surprises.

Purge yourselves of the erroneous believe that you outnumber the southerners. In every election, field your best candidate and we would defeat you going forward cos we just demystified the political prowess of the hausa/fulani.Power will never get to the core north again!

you say power will not return to the north, well since its your father that gives the power, lets wait and see who he will give it to. You talk of political prowess and numbers, firstly, the election was rigged, secondly, The north has more numbers, you want it to be between north and south but it isn't, its about elite using north and south to brainwash you so you'll be distracted with that while they cart away billions. You're too foolish to see!! GEJ would not have been president if he didn't get the support of the sultan of sokoto and other elite in the north. They backed him over Buhari 100%. The day they, the elite decide power will come back to the north, you really think someone will tell them no Let me tell you, the northern elite along with southern oligarchs have a lot invested and tied into the PDP so they'll never let it fail. NOW the elections will son go to court, had there been a true free and fair election, no rigging, how would the numbers look? very different, anyone can win elections through rigging!!! even your 2 year old daughter.

again, the people that were killed were muslim hausa pdp supporters. Fools, you've been brainwashed into buying utter nonsense! Really? lets kill southerners and only burn northern pdp supporters properties!! Nonsense!!! You people are fools and have failed to see your true enemy. GO and manage your poverty and no light for another four years. Foolish people.

Re: North-south Dialogue. What Southerners Misunderstand by Onlytruth(m): 7:31am On Apr 26, 2011
Yes, power should not return to the core north for many many years, if ever.

It should rotate in south and middle belt.

Those guys need to repent first, or they should be kept away from power.

@gadogao, the almajiri king.
Are you saying all the killed corps members were northerners? Then, you need to take your drugs. Why are you still whining and gloating over a week since your BB's abysmal failure at the polls? Maybe you have a record of poor recovery rate.
Tell your brothers up north that the south has come to redeem the country after your 38 years of rip off.
In the event of a military coup, we would say thank you and walk away with our oil rich southern Nigeria.

Lmfao!@ beaf and co who are trying their best to deviate this useful thread.
Instead of addressing the issues raised, they keep mentioning death of a few Southerners.

A look at Nairaland just before the election will reveal that beaf was bombarding us with hate threads. While the Buhari supporters focused their campaign on Buharis past records and his present manifesto, beaf and other PDP agents were always polarizing issues to religion and ethnicity. The threads are there for everyone to see.

Just like this thread was started as a reconciliatory and enlightenment effort, beaf is about polarizing it again. He has even boasted that they will hand over power to middlebelt which in essence means they have started plans to rig 2015.

It is also worthy of note that the middlebelt has ruled Nigeria for 18 years, while southwest did 11 years.
Re: North-south Dialogue. What Southerners Misunderstand by purplelady: 8:25am On Apr 26, 2011
You norther guys keep talking about a few southerners been killed, is it right for a single southerner to die. Corp members that have struggle their way through school with community fund just been wasted by some illiterate Alimajiri. You are saying the south is being brainwashed. A child the parent are wanting for to come lift the financial burden on them after NYSC.4 or 5 years of the parents denying themselves of a lot to train these innocent corp members is now wasted. No a single northerner have been touched in the south, am sure you people see us as fools.
Go and build your groundnut pyramid, am sure that will keep your lazy beggars busy.

I just saw the story of Oluwaseyi on STV, a self sponsored student who did menial jobs to send himself to school. His life was wasted in the North by CPC supporters when he ran into a police station. His age mother was looking for to june 2011, when he would have passed out from the NYSC. What barbaric act.
