Comparing the rate or frequency of the commission of a particular crime between both genders in order to cast a particular gender in bad light is grossly unnecessary and divisive.

Governments and policymakers must implement mitigating measures and stricter laws aimed at stamping out rape. Tough but doable.

It is a Catch-22 situation. The school cannot sack the teacher without taking responsibility. But self-acquittal would cost them so much more. They were not properly advised. This is a school with immense resources. I think Chrisland management needs to lead by example by acknowledging their error, fire some top notch management and all the members of staff found culpable, set up a sort of Joint Committee of stakeholders; school and affected parents to help counsel, rehabilitate and discipline the children. This should not have escalated to this point. What a mess.

If they had handled this well, the parents recognizing their own failure as parents and in order to protect their child, would have been relieved. In the end, we want the children involved to turn out well and other children also protected.

I don't know the law here, and as I put it up earlier on this thread, in some jurisdictions, there are specific laws that protect minors from being prosecuted if two of them have sex willingly and are under the age of consent. (that applies to the US, and in some states, not all).

At the end of the day, however, I'm going to err on the side of caution (and yes, I mean err)..and assume that a ten year old cannot give consent, even if her partner is also ten. Lawyers in the house should be able to give a better view.

But the main koko here is the fact that the school failed in its duty of in loco parentis big time.

Not forgetting somebody leaked the video online. If at all, minor were ignorantly messing around, I doubt the girl wanted the video uploaded online.
