I just checked my jamb result and i scored 283. Initially, my choice of course was law, but my parents insisted that l chose mass comm but my choice is law. What can l do, l need advices pls.

Whose life is it : is it yours, or your parents ? If it is yours, then you need no counsel . But if it is your parents ,then you must do as they say while being miserable at the same time.

just study what your ambition goes for,.... don't goes for what will make you regret eternally,...let them understand your reasoning and if they persist well only god can help you then

Wow... I'm a law student myself and it really feels great honestly not minding the present lawless state of the country.

But it could be probably your parents don't want you to miss school this year.

Follow your heart. Just know that no course is as easy as anyone thinks. I respect all courses.

Go for law, you can master later in mass communication if you wish.

Law has better prospect than mass communication. 280 something can get you law admission. Don't relax, work harder for your post utme. Also, make your parent understand that law is what you want. Chase your dream.

Go for Mass comm, study hard and change to law in ur second year!!!!!!!

Depending on your age, if you're between 17 - 23yrs, please go for Mass Communication if that is what your parents need. And after graduation, you certainly must have had your own money or know how to make money, go and study law.

ONLY if your parents are insisting on you studying Mass Comm

This is piece of cake.

Have a discussion with them and ask them why they want you to study mass communication, then give your own reasons too and make sure it surpasses theirs, don't be emotional, you have to drop facts because for you to be intelligent then one of your parents is too and they can easily spot your emotional statements.

Give reasons why you prefer law, if we have good lawyers then the muderers of miss Deborah Samuel won't go unpunished. Give them facts and watch them dump that mass communication of a course.

If you ask me and assume I am in the shoes of your parents I would say we have too many stupid lawyers now that don't know their left from their right, they just chicken out and speak rubbish immediately they hear the big name of their opposition lawyer and moreover mass comm graduates can easily get good jobs too in big firms so I will prefer you to choose mass communication.

You can make a difference, prove it to your parents and go learn how to serve justice to those who deserve it.

If he goes for law following the fact he owns his life
Who would pay the fee ?
He should talk his parent into accepting what he wants and make them understand why he wants law

It is your life my friend and you are to decide how you live it. Your parents won't be there in the next 7-10 years to be making decisions regarding your life anymore. So don't let them choose for you.

283 can't get u law in most federal universities... u still have to past via PUTME.
Il advice u go for history and international relations.
Mass com and pol science are both overrated tho

Medical Lab Science, science lab technology, and computer science.

In all sincerity, law is over hyped. I am not discouraging you. It is always to learn/study your passion devoid of others input. However, in our clime, our parents advise sometimes supercedes all. Not because they hate the course but for certain reasons which is only known to them.

First, seek counsel from either whom you believe have your ears. Ask questions to understand why mass comm is their desire. Check and balance with yours. If you are still not convinced, speak to the other and do same. If either does not convince you, law is the way forward. If one can, then, mass comm.

Let this be done with an open mind like a student who want to learn from elders. Learning is a process. Don't be too adamant. This will help you now and after school because certain decisions need elders counsel.

Lol mass communication in this Nigeria? People wey no read mass communication sef Dey do mass communication.. even law sef I no know how useful ist is
