Imagine going to Radio stations to answer questions that had been sent to the radio presenters in order not to have a bad outing similar to the debate against Trump.

Its too late now to change Biden, He is still their best shot.

If Biden steps down normally, It should be Kamala but she does not have a good rep, She rose to DA by being a Sugarbaby to a politician and generally disliked and not likely to win. But the optics of skipping over a Black woman and probably picking a white guy to replace Biden will likely lead to a civil war in the Democratic party

Their best option is to support Biden all the way and hope he doesnt have a major health failure in the next 4months

Nigeria beats peers, emerges Africa’s largest private equity destination

…secures $2.6bn in Q1

Nigeria has recorded the highest private equity deals in Africa in the first quarter of 2024, overtaking smaller countries that used to receive the highest deals.

According to a new report by DealMakers Africa, a South African-based firm that tracks mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and corporate finance activity across the continent, the value of M&A in Africa’s most populous nation was estimated to be $2.6 billion.

“In terms of total deals, West Africa continued to dominate (recording $2.6 billion in value) with Nigeria the centre of activity (20 deals),” the report said.

It said out of the top 10 deals announced in Q1, the largest was the disposal by Shell of its onshore oil and gas subsidiary to Renaissance Africa Energy for $2.4 billion.

“While Africa faces many challenges – both internal and external – opportunities abound, with the world’s largest mineral reserves and huge potential to produce energy from renewable sources,” the report added.

East Africa recorded deal values in aggregate of $44 million with Kenya being the most active of the East African countries, recording 19 deals of the 28 for the region.

Chief, wasn't it the sentiment employed to get rid of Jonathan? it's North vs South, hence after Tinubu 4yrs the South would have had 8yrs more, and the North are within their rights to request that it is their turn.

I was having a thought A standard soccer game is 90 minutes, split into two 45-minute periods either side of a 15-minute break.
In that 45 minutes, sometimes players are allowed a "water break ".
I was thinking, can't first half be made a combination of 30 minutes + 30 minutes?
For instance 1st half = 30mins + water break + 30mins (culminating to first half)

2nd half = 30mins + water break + 30mins (culminating to second half)

This will create more playing time with equal opportunities

I'm just thinking

So u want a football match to last 120mins of regular time? Then what happens if they are in a knockout competition which ends in a draw? Will they play another 30mins extra time?

If yes, then be ready to pick as many dead bodies as possible on the pitch.

The physicality of the game and the extended duration u are proposing will run a lot of players down to their early grave. Most players will even retire before they clock 28 years old.

The Tinubu government unveils measures to overcome high food prices.

At a press briefing today, the Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Senator Abubakar Kyari, said the measures will be implemented over the next 180 days.

1. A 150-Day Duty-Free Import Window for Food Commodities;

a. suspension of duties, tariffs and taxes for the importation of certain food commodities (through
land and sea borders).

b. These commodities include Maize, Husked Brown Rice, Wheat and Cowpeas.

c. Under this arrangement, imported food commodities will be subjected to a Recommended Retail Price (RRP). (I am aware that some good citizens might be concerned about the quality of the would-be imported food commodities as it relates to the trending worries around the genetic composition of food.) I am glad to reiterate that the Government’s position exemplifies standards that would not compromise the safety of the various food items for consumption.

2. In addition to the importation by private sector, Federal Government will import 250,000MT of Wheat and 250,000MT of Maize. The imported food commodities in their semi processed state will target supplies to the small-scale processors and millers across the country.

3. Engage relevant stakeholders to set a Guaranteed Minimum Price (GMP) and mop up surplus assorted food commodities to restock the National Strategic Food Reserve.

4. Continuous ramp-up production for the 2024/2025 farming cycle.

a. sustained support to smallholder farmers in the ongoing wet season farming through existing
government initiatives.

b. strengthen and accelerate Dry Season Farming across the country.

c. embark on aggressive agricultural mechanization and development to reduce drudgery, drive down the cost of production and boost productivity.

d. collaborate with Sub-National to identify irrigable lands and increase land under cultivation.

e. work closely with the Federal Ministry of Water Resources and Sanitation, to rehabilitate and maintain irrigation facilities under river basin authorities across the federation.

f. development of a strategic engagement for youth and women across the federation for
immediate greenhouse cultivation of horticultural crops such as tomatoes and pepper to
increase production volume, stabilize prices, and address food shortages.

g. fast-tracking ongoing engagements with the Nigerian Military to rapidly cultivate arable lands
under the Defence Farms Scheme, while encouraging other Para-Military establishments to put secured available arable lands to cultivation.

5. The Renewed Hope National Livestock Transformation Implementation Committee will be inaugurated on Tuesday, 9th July 2024 with a view to developing and implementing policies that prioritize livestock development and ensure alignment with the National Livestock Transformation Plan.

6. Enhancement of Nutrition Security through:

a. the promotion of production of fortified food commodities and;

b. offer necessary support to scale up the Home Garden Initiative by the Office of The First Lady
of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Over the next 14 days, in close collaboration with the Presidential Food Systems Coordinating Unit
(PFSCU) and the Economic Management Team (EMT), we will convene with the respective Agencies to finalize the implementation frameworks. We will ensure that information is publicly available to facilitate the participation of all relevant stakeholders across the country. The PFSCU will manage a dashboard for Mr. President, providing him with direct visibility into these interventions and ensuring accountability.

The success of the measures aforementioned is contingent on cooperation and collaboration of all relevant MDAs and stakeholders.

As our nation confronts a critical food security challenge, let me reiterate Mr. President’s unwavering commitment to attaining food security and ensuring that no Nigerian goes to bed hungry. To this end, I can assure all Nigerians, that my team and I, will swiftly and diligently actualize these crucial policies to ensure food security for everyone in the country in the immediate term as we also continue our strategies for long-term interventions to address the underlying causes and ensure sustainable and resilient food systems in the country.

The sentiment used to get Jonathan was that North was not allowed to complete their own 8yrs after Yar Adua died

So how is it similar to now? Is it that Buhari didnt complete his 8yrs?

The North is within their right, Anyone has the right, even OBJ wife exercised her rights in contesting against her husband.

Buhari contested against OBJ after 4yrs in 2003 and he contested against Jonathan in 2011 and 2015, even Atiku contested this last election despite Buhari just finishing 8yrs

The idea will not work; the physicality of the sport does not allow for the game to be extended beyond 90 mins regular time and 30mins extra time in knockout competitions.

Why do u think they started giving water break in football? It is to ensure players get hydrated so u don't have players dropping on the pitch like log of wood.

I was sitting close to a guy and he was watching Nedu's podcast. The lady was talking about how she had slept with this and that; politician in Asaba that gave her 3k. How she fcked a girl so she can stay in her apartment.

I just dey laugh. grin

Anything for attention and publicity.

Should be treated not much different from real-life, things that deserve to be taken serious should be taken serious....at least we can see it becoming serious with the number of defamation suits flying up and down.
