I had a similar scenario with UBA bank and sporty bet but it was never resolved

Forget that thing yahoo workers don full banks this days... the day my wife collect ATM card, that night someone called her to give her the last 5 digit.. how the person take no say my wife don collect ATM card if not the workers in the Bank


Same thing happened to my friend, she was called the next day after opening an account with UBA, the caller claimed he was from customer care and wanted to conclude some things on her account... That was how she was cleaned of the 90k naira she used in opening the account, and painfully that money was for her tuition fees.

many of the workers inside the banks nowadays are working hand in hand with fraudsters

It's impossible for someone to hack into your account using your ATM details without you ignorantly giving them the consent to do so.

Maybe he innocently filled his card details on a pishing website and they copied it and hacked into his account. Because you're required to change your ATM password immediately after receiving your new ATM card, so it's safe to say that after changing his password the bank had no access to his account unless he revealed his card details elsewhere.

Stop using the word impossible when it comes to IT. It's very possible for an app to have compromised and vulnerable backends without the owners even knowing.

Also, if he said he heard automated voice system calling out numbers, then I guess someone has found a way to access your messages through phone call. That's some serious security risk.

We're saying the same thing. He granted access to a spy app or filled his card details on a pishing website...one thing you should know is that customers who fall victims of this practice are not completely honest when they come to the bank to Lodge a complain. They'll try to make the incident look as though the fault is from the bank, when they clearly granted access to certain spy apps, filled their card details online...etc.

I still maintain my stand that no one can hack into your account using your card details if you don't use it online and on websites and apps that are not trusted.

Have at least 2 accounts. Transfer small money you wish to spend from your main savings to your spending account which can have an ATM

Also you can adjust your maximum daily limit

ADVICE: Never waste time discussing with a potential bank account scammer, rush to your bank's nearest branch to report and, subsequently block your account.

I had similar experience, mine two days after receiving my ATM card and before that day one of the marketing staff warned me about strange number calling to request for my card details that I shouldn't pick it and yes they did called, the moment the person asked if I've collected my card I dropped the call and blocked the number since then I haven't had any disturbance or suspicious happening with my account.
That means the problem is from GTBANK same thing happened to the man and he answered the call possibly the caller was stealing his bank information in his phone without him saying a word , according to him he said the call sound like machine and he didn’t respond until he hang calls, this should be a new fraudulent trick we should be careful

He's not telling the truth, he gave them the OTP which I think is only necessary on the first transaction, the rest doesn't need the otp since the card is saved so they took all his money.

Deactivate your e-mail with the bank and internet banking as well. More also protect your atm card on the app. This might help in the future.

The West can't do anything different than they have been doing since Feb.
They can only impose further sanctions which has been very successful (lmao) and continue their cycle of failed tactics.
North Korea/Iran are the most sanctioned countries in the world by the Western parasites and they're still better developed than every African country that sold their sovereignty to the Western neocolnialst.
The puppet leaders of these developing countries who ignored their national interests in subservience to the West made their citizens vulnerable to modern day slavery.

Always block any camera view in the banking hall when inputing new atm card pin in the bank. i dnt trust those bankers when openly inputing my pin. Sometimes i use my second hand to cover the machine on their desk when inputing new pin.

Similar thing happened to me.

A bet group added me to their WhatsApp bet group. I received a fake bank message.

2. NO BANK has 45 days as it's dispute or issue resolution deadline.

For goodness sake, there are CBN guidelines for some of these things.

Most Nigerian banks are fraudulent... Don't be surprised if the bank account ws compromised by a staff of gtb... They know how to go about this and gtb isn't doing enough to protect their customers... For such an amount of money, the efcc and ICPC may need to be involved... No be only yahoo Boys Boys them go dey go after... Make them go after fraudulent bank workers too...... All of them na yahoo Boys in disguise

You’re correct. I initially thought GTBank is one of the good banks we have in the Banking Sector, but I was mistaken.

GTBank is currently competing with Access Bank in fraudulent deductions.

Any credit alert that enters your GTBank, they deduct money which they tag “Stamp Duty”.

Meanwhile, Stamp Duty is just 50Naira according to CBN but GTBank deducts 70Naira, 192Naira, 325Naira all in the name of Stamp Duty as soon as any money enters your account - which doesn’t even reflect in your transaction history unless you request for your account statement.

Sanusi Lamido Sanusi is the best CBN Governor Nigeria has ever produced.

Godwin Emefiele should be sent to the guillotine.

I understand your point, but Nigerian banks can put a stop to this nonsense. GTB have the details of the beneficiary. They can ask the other banks to put a hold on the money pending the outcome of their investigation.

Nigerian bank will not help if your name doesn’t ring bell but they will figure it out in few days if this happens to any of our celebrities

Also, they can help this fellow by copying EFCC and NPF for proper investigation.

All I can say is that Nigerian banks are aiding financial fraud activities in Nigeria.
