Those countries are richer, stable, functioning and more prosperous than Indonesia. You don't see Singaporeans working as maids in Saudi Arabia, and even semi-skilled Vietnamese who work outside the country are very choosy and opt to work in Singapore or Japan.

Religious laws do more harm than good to society.
