To think that this is what I perceived as Obi's strongest case. The others can be trashed by a rookie athoney . The criminal case against Tinubu will not hold water. Tinubu was never convicted. If he ever was, it's over the 10 years consideration by our constitution. After 10 years, it cannot be held against anyone seeking political office. The 25% FCT is the easiest to trash. FCT residents are not special and so cannot be the ones to determine our president. If that is allowed it means that even if one gets 95% in all 36 states with a historic landslide margin and gets just 24% in FCT, then he cannot be president. That's a tall dream. FCT is the 37th but since its not a state, the law says 36 states and FCT.

Locus is the basis of any case. If you have no locus to file a case, the court will throw out your case no matter the evidence you have. Election petition tribunal is based on
1. Qualification/Eligibility
2. Adherence to Electoral laws
3. Got Lawful votes to be declared winner.

This issue of shettima/tinubu is based on No1.

I will give you an example.

During 2019 election, buhari was also taken to court by pdp for non qualifying due to certificate, it was thrown out.

When petition tribunal started, the tribunal listened the petition of pdp regarding buhari certificate.

And wat was the judgment on the issue of certificate

Reason the federal high court throw out the case is due to Locus standi. That is, pdp doesn't have the legal position to file such case. At that level, only somebody that did primary with shetima, tinubu, or APC member can file such case.

But at election petition tribunal, pdp, LP, candidates have the locus standi to file such case by the provisions of the law.

So, I can assure you 100% that the case will be listened to at petition tribunal. Thanks.

A petition was filed against Adeleke qualification ... process

A petition was filed by babayemi of PDp that won the primary against Adeleke .. process

OYetola petition challenged the results and pray Adeleke be disqualified over forged results .. process & result

In summary Osun cases is an oversight & covers 90% of the Petition filed by Peter Obi and Atiku

Your analogy does not correlate, a country is not equal to WAEC, they don't have the same principles guiding them. Laws are made depending on what's important in each life situation and in this case FCT populace does not stand in the same role as English language in WAEC. The judges said their prayer was not legal because the issue is internal to the party. They were called busy body for that.

When Obi goes to court, he'd have to explain how the issue is internal to him.
