savcy: It seems you know very little about security matters. You subscribe to the delusions of grandeur that most soldiers have. The military is not superior to the police. Neither does other security agencies "answer to it" as you erroneously put it. Years of military rule in Nigeria (which is an anomaly, and not a norm) has deluded the military. But the educationally sound ones among them know better. In a democracy, the Army is subject to civilian authority. Of which the police is part of the executive arm of this civilian authority. The army is not above the law and can be arrested by all other security agencies as well for violating the law. 1 Like 1 Share |

RaptorX: The law against appointing a retired military officer as SECDEF also permits the POTUS to apply for a waiver from Congress if the SECDEF nominee has been out of the military for less than 7 years. |
