I'm based in the UK but I'm getting married in Nigeria, in August 2012.

I was wondering if anyone had any experience of a wedding planner? an AFFORDABLE wedding planner. My number of guests is 250-300

As I wont be in Nigeria for a lot of the planning, I need someone I can easily communicate with via email/bbm and will take care of most of the aspects of the wedding.

I would love if any of you ladies could also share your wedding experiences. I'm a muslim, he is not, I'm Yoruba, he is not. How many days can we do the wedding over? Is one day feasible?

Please let me know your thoughts.

With all due respect, why dont you consult your family for that? Or are they not aware of your wedding?

That would only be a problem IF your parents dont want you to bring another religionist (aside from muslim) to their house, as your husband!

I didn't make myself clear enough, I apologise.

Our family don't have a problem with our marriage and the inter tribal/religion thing. I asked about the feasibility because my mom doesn't work in Lagos, there really isn't any close family that can devote 100% time to it.

I asked about the getting married in a church because we aren't entirely sure how it will work. Can we go to church first thing then come back for the traditional/nikkai/reception at the hall?

I need to see a portfolio of work before I commit myself to any planner.
