In the old testament the Jews were God's chosen people as a light to other nations , a sort of antitype for what was to come.

This was a small nation that God chose for the purpose of birthing the Messiah into the world for redemption and salvation of mankind.

After the death of Christ , the demarcating wall between Jew and Gentile was ripped apart and there became one body no longer 2.

Some of us have diminished and/or eliminated the role of god in our lives, and we are here to tell you that we are living well. Some others are quite happy to give god supreme presence in their lives. What else do you need? Are you hoping to judge everyone according to your standards of what a 'happy life' entails?

Your strong faith is commendable but must you prove it by displaying so much disrespect to your ancestors whose blood and effort ensured your presence here today? How much do you really know about African traditional beliefs to show so much condescension? Wasn't polygamy practiced in your holy bible? Isn't Jesus the ultimate human sacrifice according to the bible? Didn't he command you to drink his blood and eat his flesh in remembrance of his sacrifice? Haven't (and aren't) wars being waged by followers of the christian faith? Wasn't Joseph sold to slavery by his own brothers who went on to become the founding fathers of the 12 tribes of Israel? There is no religion without its share of vices. Please take time to remove the log in your eye first.

I'm not claiming to be an expert or a follower of any African traditional belief system but if you want others to respect your faith you must do the same to them. Not to mention the fact that (like it or not) it is your own heritage that you are putting down.

Earlier today, you had implied that the old testament was wrong/bad and the new testament was right/good. In the old testament where yahweh told joshua to kill men, women and children(every living thing) in Jericho, was that also inspired by the holy spirit?
what about 35 or so holy scriptures ( the non-cannonical books) that were rejected by the compilers of the bible? Where those books not also wriiten by men deeply infused with the holy spirit?
where are the original texts and how many editions and revisions have there been of this wonderful work of an all-knowing god? How and Why does the words of an infallible god need editing and revisions by mortal men?

I don't believe in evolution but there is much evidence to show for it or the BB than there is to show that Jesus once existed as the gospels claim. . . .Beside the lying writings of the gospels that were written very long after the alleged death of Jesus, whose authors remain UNKNOWN what evidence do you have to show that Jesus lived as the gospel account said he did?. . .
