The two most oil-laden LGAs in Nigeria are Igbo-speaking.

They are ONELGA and Oyigbo LGAs, all in Rivers state.

Igbo oil was used in developing the whole of Nigeria.

Igbo gas also trumps the gas reserves of any other Nigerian ethnic nationality.
Igbos have more than 90% of Nigeria's gas reserves.

You can choke on this very depressing news.

those mighty buildings you see across igboland from Onitsha, awka, nnewi, owerri, orlu, aba , Enugu etc are actually built by individuals and not governments. I know you will find it difficult to believe because outside Abuja, Lagos and PH there is no where in Nigeria and black Africa you will find such massive number of 6-7 storeys buildings built by individuals in such massive scale. My friend from taraba arrived Onitsha in 2004 and when he saw those buildings he echoed same sentiments as you and asked why are igbos shouting marginalization when government did all these. I told him those houses belonged to individuals not government that the only visible federal government presence in SE was the old post office, police station, army barracks and federal highways like Enugu - Onitsha highway etc which has been dilapidated since Shagari built it in 1981 . The man thought I was lying to him, left and never communicated again since then because he believed it was impossible for individuals and not government to build such massive buildings

Obviously someone has been lying to you. Most southeast states have more than 18 tcf of gas.
In fact, Imo state has about 200 tcf. Below is exactly what the former minister of state of Petroleum, who apparently was the former governor of Bayelsa, said about Imo gas.

“Imo state with 200 trillion cubic feet of gas deposits should be set for economic boom,” Sylva said during a visit to the Imo Governor, Hope Uzodinma, in April 2021.7 Jan 2024

Google the above and stop bringing a bulala to a gun fight.

“Imo State with 200TCF of gas deposits”

The question you should ask yourself is that what’s the country’s proven gas deposit that only Imo alone accounts for the aforementioned quantity? You don’t really know what you’re talking about and no doubt people have been lying to you.

Every tribe and region is blessed. Your gloating so early in the morning is very uncalled for.

The country's proven gas deposit is about 300tcf. So you are headed nowhere with this attempt to throw in a smokescreen.

Of the remaining 100 TCF, Igbo states and Igbo areas in the SS still hold a majority on those grin grin grin

I know Lagos state also has a few BILLION Cubic feet of gas deposits. Not TRILLION, bear that in mind.

TCFs, are mainly found in the SE and SS. BCFs are found in Lagos, and maybe one or two other SW states.

What’s your source the country’s proven reserves is about 300TCF? It’s no where near that level.

Stop lying to yourself.

You are obviously pained to learn from me that Igboland bears a vast majority of Nigeria's gas deposits.

Why should I concern myself with how many BCFs SW has, when Igboland has 100s of TCFs of gas.

Thank God the statement on Imo gas was made by a former Bayelsa governor, otherwise you would have claimed it's Igbo propaganda.

Once again, Igboland has the vast majority of Nigeria's gas reserves. I hope this beautiful news haunts you all weekend shocked shocked

Slaughtered with facts with no sources whatsoever? Let me take you down memory lane. The past governor of Delta State, Sen. Ifeanyi Okowa said 40% of the country’s gas deposits sits under the territory of Delta State.

Have you come across any Deltan on this forum making a fuss from that statement?

Your submission up there cannot haunt me cuz I’m armed with facts. For your information, I am in the value chain in this industry so go and tell that crap you wrote up there to the other unlettered folks of your ilk.

So who is more of an authority on gas? The governor of one single state, Delta. Or a federal minister of state on Petroleum resources, of which gas is one major product.

Show me facts from a major official of the oil & gas sector, and we can talk. Don't just bring facts from someone who is not in that sector.

Anambra is even reputed to have five times the deposit in Imo state, but you don't see me bringing that information here, until it is verified and shared by an authority in the gas industry.
I am only hitting you with the Imo tsunami and you can't even counter it with proper data from a proper authority on gas matters.

Bayelsa and Delta can make any claim they like, but if it is not certified and verified by the ministry in charge of that sector, just consider it propaganda.
Once again, Igboland has the majority of Nigeria's gas deposits.

Both parties should have a synergy when events like this occur. However, the state governor is more of an authority. This is because if he doesn’t grant the relevant bodies the right to enter such land for exploration or mining as the case may be, nothing will happen.

Also the State Governor isn’t answerable to the President of the Federation unlike the Minister. Furthermore, the President can fire the Minister if he/ she doesn’t get his/ her acts right.

In your spare time, go and read Sections 1 and 2 of the Land Use Act and educate yourself.

Furthermore, data from NUPRC shows that Nigeria’s gas deposit stands at 206.5TCF

https://www.nuprc.gov.ng/nigerias-gas-reserves-hit-206-53-trillion-standard-cubic-feet/

So where did you manufacture the 300TCF from?

From the shoemaking factories in Aba right? LOOL!
