Let me explain what it means.

Trump's attorney was trying hard to discredit Cohen as a serial liar before the jury.

And the Prosecution was saying - this was established before Trump hired him. That was the qualification for him to get his job. So no big deal there.

You cant say the jury should not consider his (Cohen's) testimony entirely especially when it was corroborated by others and paper as well as audio trail.

How does that nagate that he was serial liar and his testimony possibly all lies?

I will advise you to sit this discourse out.

The subject matter is simply too logical for you.

Do not punch above your weight. It is obvious you do not know how law works.

No. His base was just energized.

You should be concerned about what the independents and the educated folks make of this

So why aren't independents and thise against him energized into giving their money?

That in its own is debatable , however, trump did nothing wrong in the real sense. They were out for him from the word go. Hilary and even Bill did worse.

That's what people been saying - there's no crime, untill he got convicted!

You just changed your narrative.

You claimed to have followed the proceeding where his lawyer AGREED that Trump slept with Stormy Daniel.

Do not be like or act like Trump - be straight forward.

Do you know how many of Trump's associates are in prison as at now?

I never said that. I said the lawyers argued the payment, even if made, didn't mean it related to the election

Golan007:

Cohen was sentenced to prison in December 2018 after pleading guilty to campaign finance charges and lying to Congress, among other crimes. In all, he spent about 13 1/2 months behind prison walls and a year and a half in home confinement. His time was further reduced through good behavior.

The campaign finance charges came after he helped arrange payouts during the 2016 presidential race to keep the porn actor Stormy Daniels and model Karen McDougal from making public claims of extramarital affairs with Trump. Trump has denied the affairs.

He implicated Trump at the time in the campaign finance charges, as he did again on Monday when he said that his release from home confinement “in no way negates the actions I took at the direction of and for the benefit of Donald J. Trump.”

Next time, apply to be Trump's attorney.

You can still overturn this with your flawed legal expertise at the appellate court.

And while you are at that, educate yourself about the jury selection process in the US.

My friend there are very highly paid, very unethical people who specialize in jury selection, tampering, and intimidation.
They don't go by "jury selection process in the US".

What has Republican convention got to do with anything?
Lesson: never leave things entirely to your lawyers. The defence lawyers botched the case

Did you follow this Case well because I doubt your premise!
Trump thought that by visiting the Court himself,he can intimidate the Jurists and how wrong he was.
Secondly, Trump is having over 90 different indictments( some criminal and some Civil Cases) and trust American System,he can't go scot free,in all these.
Imagine his statement after he was pronounced ' the Judges rigged him'
If he thinks he can bully anyone, then he so wrong.
Besides,is this what Americans want to present as the World Best for Democracy, your guess as good as mine!

The "YES THEY DID" refered to their arguing that a payment, even if made, had nothing to do with the election. I heard them argue that with my own ears

I said his lawayers botched the case because they should have focused on sneaking in ONE biased juror, or influencing ONE juror. That's what great lawyers do. They failed

The defense lawyers botched the case because he did what Trump asked him to do.
Trump was trying to run a political campaign during his trial.
He forced his attorney to say Stormy Daniels was lying. ALlowing the prosecution to not only call her but to get into the salacious details of what happened to rehab her or prove she wasn't lying. By doing so it showed the reason he tried hard to hide it.
He also forced his attorney to call their only witness. Which backfired and led to leading credence to Cohen's testimony.

This is not a conspiracy. If judges and juries are always right, the system will not create room for appeal.

There is a reason the Justice Department didn't pursue the charge. There is a reason FECA, the electoral regulatory body looked at it and dropped it. There is a reason why a change of venue was not allowed. I can go on and on but its best to wait for the appeal process to be exhausted and a final judgment delivered.

Trump might have grown up in NY, but he is hated or at best disliked by the predominantly democrats city who have consistently voted 80-90 percent against him.

Except boycotting the case entirely which is impossible, his defense team has no choice but to go through and resort to appeal if not satisfied at the end.

all you just stated are hogwash and shows you clearly does not know what you are talking about!

DOJ is a federal agency, had they gone after him on this, it would have been publicized more that it is the Biden federal government that is prosecuting him.

Plus Elections in the USA are state matters and not federal, so a State and not a federal agency like DOJ would have more tools and jurisdiction to prosecute him.

What is FECA? Is that Federal Employee's Compensation Act, what do they have to do with this?

Which Electoral Body are you taking about? Again the USA does not have a separate Electoral body, each state administers her elections themselves and advance laws to protect their own election hence a State is prosecuting him here.

Change of venue is at the discretion of the Judge and Trump had already appealed the denial for a change of venue before, but the New York Court of Appeal denied that request. Forum shopping is not allowed in the US, he did the crime in NYC, it is only fair that he face a jury of his peer in NYC.

Offcourse they will have to appeal, but what are the material facts upon which they will appeal? Remember that, Trump have already made several appeals on this case and each and every one of them have been denied...base of his track records, the chances of success are very slime.

Most of y'all don't even realize how stupid this case was. The problem was never the porn star or the payment itself. The problem was that the payment was recorded as legal expense and violated campaign financing laws.

All Trump needed to do was have a third party pay her and he then reimburse the third party using his own cash.

Greediness is what finished Trump and might just be the end of him!

Or u mean every new yorker hates trump daht no one would want to see him appeal or waht ma'am?
To launch an appeal you have to prove that the facts were not the facts and have something tangible to hold against the jury.
Trump and his abysmal team have none of this. His appeal will be tossed aside.
