This strike action will last for weeks if the Labour unions are very serious to fight the war against FG. At least if you finally settled for #150k or #200k for new minimum wage, that one is justifiable 5 Likes |

DMerciful:This is invalid in today's Nigeria. It was the arrangement when Lagos was capital of Nigeria. Lagos will be replaced by Abuja if the proposal sails. Except Tinubu is trying to reverse absolutely everything including the Nation's capital and currency back to pounds. 1 Like |

Akwamkpuruamu: How will the employer cope? Is everyone the FGN or the state government? Casualization and contract will simply increase. Do you not understand the cost push of a massive wage increase? It's Zimbabwe you are praying for. Will increase in salary increase productivity and reduce all other factors of employment? The NLC position is ridiculous and any sensible person knows it. |

For those that are lazy to read. The main points from the article. 1. **Labour Strike**: Nigerian labour unions have threatened to go on a nationwide strike within 24 hours. 2. **Government Response**: The Federal Government is making last-minute efforts to avert the strike. 3. **Dialogue Efforts**: The government is engaging in talks with labour leaders to resolve the issues and prevent the strike. 4. **Labour's Stance**: Labour leaders remain firm on their demands, emphasizing the need for the government to address the issues causing the strike. 5. **Public Concern**: There is growing public concern over the potential impact of the strike on the economy and daily life. These points highlight the tension between the Nigerian government and labour unions as they attempt to negotiate and prevent a disruptive nationwide strike. |

This labour and tuc idiots are stupid just like their counterparts in govt ....... requesting for increments in salaries at this time will not yield any positive results due to the total fall in value in the country.....they would have requested for govt intervention in the economy like agricultural reforms and overhauling of the security sector more so the overhauling of the countries energy sector ....but trust the shallow intelligence of a black man who always view large collection of money to be wealth.....if u increase salary ....mkt trend will increase overnight....killing the value of money .....in turm creating wideeeee income gap btw the rich and the poor ...... standard of living will so increase.....like house rent .......the Nlc chairman is a fool 1 Like |

Ordinarily, this is what every Nigerian should be protesting for. We deserve nothing less than 300k in the present economic realities. However, 200 or even 150 can be managed until things become better. Offering anything less than that is wickedness in the part of the govt. If we continue to allow labour to fight for us, they will like all other times be compromised and sell us all off. They need to do more to get the public trust. 1 Like |
