The simple truth be say if government devalue the currency to 1/5 of the previous value they need to increase minimum wage by 6x the previous amount. |

When politicians start getting missing or executed for not doing their duties Then new ones coming into office will be afraid of stealing And will do things for the citizens But right now Anybody in office and ASPIRING to enter office Are all after their pocket Infact more people are waiting to steal than people already stealing 4 Likes 2 Shares |

helinues: If you were the NLC leader how much do you think would be a realistic minimum or living wage and as you quote that amount kindly itemize it as to how it would be spent on a 30 day plan..... Feeding.... Transport Toiletries Utility bills You can add more. Note that this is just for an individual without dependent. 5 Likes 1 Share |

helinues: Check what you type and see if your family will be proud of you Let me tell you if you are so daft to see what is happening in Nigeria now 1. Nigerians now see food as luxury which it use to be basics. Do you know how much one paint is garri now, something that use to go for 250naira is now 3k One paint is rice now is 7k5h which it was 25000 before, Transport fare skyrocket Let me stop there NASS are collecting nothing less than 30m every month aside some jumbo allowance’s without doing nothing. Why can’t FG cut down the jumbo wages of National Assembly and make reasonable adjust to civil servants salary that work through their nose Imagine there is nothing like labour union, so federal government wants to pay 48k as minimum wage in this kind of economy This your contribution is rubbish but I can’t blame you, you are so daft to see what’s going on in the country at the moment 16 Likes 1 Share |

helinues:labour's proposal for N494K Is negotiation strategy. If labour had requested for like N250K ab initio, then agreed minimum wage would have been like 100k, which is still low. But with N494K , expect me wage of about N150K. 1 Like |

helinues:Common sense is no longer common. If you are not wicked, how can you be supporting a government that removed Fuel Subsidies, removed Electricity subsidies, yet spending over half a billion on Hajj subsidies . Buying expensive and overpriced SUVs for NASS, whereas we have local alternatives and flushing N15T on a highway to nowhere. Now, pay workers, you are offering a pitiful $40 a month. Anything less than $300 is not acceptable. |

Labour are not realistic with their demand. If Fg should ascent to their demand can the state pay. Some state governors are still paying 18k as minimum wage, e.g borno, and Abia state. |

Then suppose fight for subsidy remover first before wages if government accept any increase of minimum wage definitely fuel pump price will go up again, remember over 70% of Nigerian are not government workers. Senseless NLC. helinues: 2 Likes |

Silly Govt, non productive civil servants. Most of the Civil Servants are not productive. Civil service is over bloated. They are sons and daughters of politicians. Instead for the Government to reposition the civil service in a way for them to be more productive, track performance and stop leakages from the financials, the Govt looks the other way. The Govt looks the other way because they do not want to improve the system so that their own looting cannot be traced. Most civil servants have travelled abroad, some are late, some of the Directors are still collecting their salaries till date. It is a matter of time before everything goes up in smoke. 2 Likes |

helinues:you .. yes you!! Am pointing to you ! Can you survive on N60k a month salary and swear that you will steal from your employers? Labor has given a penny by penny breakdown of that amount justifying it with the current inflation rate . Govt proposing N60k cannot justify how they got to that figure . N60k is 2 loaves of bread a day for the average worker for a month!! . Where is transportation, medical , electricity bill , school fees , other basic necessities to live come from ? When security man block your type for bank say Oga find us something u go one squeeze N200 for them , make them Dey hail u big boy . So ur head go swell as na Wetin u like make them Dey suffer . Omenapounds: Mumu talk from selfish civil servants who arent adding much value to the nation. I hate Tinubu govt with a passion, but that doesn't mean we must speak the truth on National issues. 498k minimum wage that Labour is demanding is far too outrageous and unrealistic. Labour Union and civil servants should stop these nonsense and face reality. Do they want to cause hyper inflation by demanding over 1000% percent pay rise? How can they request minimum wage be increased 15 times what it is presently. They are not talking of double or triple, they are demanding over 10x . What happens if prices of goods goes up even 3 times what they are now as a result of their demand? Can Joe Ajaero pay his gate man 498k monthly? Let him start by doing that, so we know it is feasible. You that is shouting 498k minimum wage or strike continues, I am sure you are a civil servant and u say so because u intend to benefit. But let put your foolishness on the table for u. Do you realize the economic implication of 498k minimum wage? That will imply the least anyone will pay a worker is 498k monthly. As a civil servant, in the restaurant u got to eat lunch how much is a plate of food presently? N2500 or 3000. The woman that owns the restaurant pays her workers 30k and sells her food 2500. If she has pay her work 15 times more to pay that 480k monthly, how much will a food of plate cost? Or you think, you will force her to pay 480k minimum wage and she will still sell her food N2500 Better wake up. You will be buy a plate of food, 2500 x 15. Meaning she will sell her food nothing less than N30,000 a plate. Make civil servants tell me if they will afford to eat lunch. Same will happen with the pepper and garri seller as they will hike their prices. Same with your landlord. Same with transport fares. By end of the day, the 480k will become worthless and the demand has already caused unnecessary harm to the economy with hyper inflation. FG should pay N90,000 minimum wage. That will be 300% increment.. If Labour don't accept 90k, they should be arrested. Arrest Joe Ejaero and Osifo and others. They can't hold the country down with unnecessary and unrealistic demands. 4 Likes |

Law of Karma is now pursuing FG now. When the FG removed subsidy on products that every sector of the economy depended on that products to oil the economy and started increase everything now the Nigeria worker are now asking for Living Wages to commiserate with removal of the subsidy. 2 Likes |

Omenapounds: Why is 470k unrealistic? Whats the minimum wage in western nations? Are our senators not paid higher than their western counterparts? Or are you saying Nigeria can afford to pay it's senators much higher than the UK prime minister but cannot afford a similar minimum wage? Are you saying Nigerian presidential fleet has more private jets than UK, France, Germany e.t.c but we dont have money to pay similar salaries to those nations? 2 Likes |
