Hello ladies and gentleman, can we have an honest discussion.

I understand that you have the right to support anyone you wish, but are you genuinely happy with the outcome as an educated person. BE HONEST!

List of genuine questions I have:

1. Are there any educated men and women who are enjoying this Tinubu regime?
2. Are you guys happy with the price hike and inflation all over the country?
3. How are you guys coping with price of groceries greatly increased?
4. Business owners, how are you able to ensure Diesel and Fuel is purchased and available?

Just in one year:

1. The hasty removal of the petrol subsidy and naira devaluation have contributed to high inflation, reduced purchasing power, and job losses

2. Structural weaknesses like heavy import dependence and lack of domestic manufacturing capacity undermine the benefits of devaluation.

3. FX Dollar reform: This first move, along with FX reforms aimed at implementing a unified, transparent, and flexible exchange rate. But has this worked? The answer is a BIG NO. We keep struggling to get the Naira/Dollar rate to a reasonable point.

Naira is 1,500 Naira to a Dollar.

4. Economic Growth
Naira has been the worst performing currency in the World today as per the latest Bloomberg report

Reference: bloomberg.com/news/articles/2024-05-10/usd-ngn-naira-reverses-gains-as-outlook-dims-on-declining-dollar-inflows

5. Inflation remains at record high levels for Nigeria, reaching 31.7% in February 2024, However, the reforms are expected to gradually decrease inflation BUT it has failed woefully!.

WITH ALL THIS SUFFERING, DO YOU STILL WANT TO CONTINUE?

If you concentrate on your life, maybe you would not beg for food like those before you

How far, hope you got the answer your Igbo soul is looking for in appropriate measure ?

Your papa must knw by fire by force that Yoruba no be HausaFulani.

Even me wey no campaign n never registered to vote in my entire life in Nigeria is hearing up for 2027 to vote Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Your ipob father's must learn a bitter lesson to desist from foolishness never in your lives again.

Kelechi009:

But that is not the question, the question is, Is life favourable to you right now under this presidency. I mean when you go and buy groceries, are you happy!

When you pay for transport, and fuel, does it make you happy. If YES, then that is okay.

Why will life not be favourable to me?
Have I ever benefitted anything from Nigerian the government?.
It has always been a hard knock life for me in this country, I took the best decision of my life during the Yaradua's tenure, this was when Dunlop, Guinness and host of others relocated to Ghana, due to electricity problems and thousands of jobs were lost.
I saw today way back in 2009, I'm fully prepared for this, anyone who survived IBB and Abacha's SAP, and still find him or herself in a mess today, have no one but themselves to blame.
What meaningful development did Nigeria enjoyed between 1999 and 2015?
Some of us who never benefit anything and still lost the little that we have, are we also not Nigerians too?
Yorubas will say Oba mewa, Igba mewa.
Hausa will say Seriki n goma, zamani n goma.
I keep adjusting myself to any new development in this country, as life must go on.
Thank God I'm doing great today, just worry more about yourself and map out your survival.
Decay is inherent in all component things, fashion out your own salvation.
Shalom.

(1) I am yet to understand this love the average Igbo person who resides abroad has for Nigeria. It befuddles me. This is a place where your ancestors were brutally massacred enmass by "fellow Nigerians" from 1967 - 1970. In fact, preceding independence as far back as 1940s and 1930s, Igbos were butchered in Jos and Kano. During GEJ's tenure, Bashir Ahmad referenced the Civil War and while in office, Buhari made young Igbo men drink mud water. What happened? Your "fellow Nigerians" were ecstatic and elated! They leapt for joy as if they won the lottery. Those y.ibo people are being dealt with! They were happy! Some of them had tears of joy! Yet again, Buhari threatened to repeat what his brothers did to your ancestors and called your land a "dot".

Mr Kelechi, is that the same land you fervently wish to return? Invest your life savings? If you don't return to Nigeria, would you die? Is Nigeria the only black-dominated/tropical country in the world? Is there no seemingly okay black-dominated country elsewhere? Is there someone pursuing you to return to Nigeria?

(2) This "educated" phrase again. In 2015, professors, MBA holders, PhD holders, MSc graduates, BSc grads with first class to add, medical doctors, accountants, company executives, student activists and even a certain Nobel laureate FERVENTLY campaigned for a man who proclaimed in 2001 to spread Sharia across Nigeria; a man whose cattle-rearing business defied the basic laws of economics and biology; a man who has been thoroughly incompetent since 1984; a man who said "a fight against Boko Haram is a fight against the North"; a man who threatened to "soak dog and baboon in blood"; a man who was BEGGED by international observers to call upon his irate supporters in 2011 after they went on rampage slaughtering NYSC corp members in the north. It took Buhari THREE DAYS before he responded to the call by INTERNATIONAL OBSERVERS. In fact, one of the relatives of the deceased corp members campaigned and voted for Buhari in 2015. He too claims to be educated.

These same people exercised their franchise in 2019, and doubled on it in 2023. Remember, they are educated o.

This Gerrard, why do you keep making so much sense? What is wrong with you biko No Nigerian reasons like this. Wetin do you

(1) The reason is COMPETITIVE aggression, the DESPERATION to provoke jealousy and oppress and enslave their peers. I could tell you some stories that DIRECTLY illustrate this, or maybe I've told them already. Funny thing is, many Igbo know this and use it to lure diasporans back to their destruction....like the Igbo guys laughing at me on another thread about being LOST abroad grin

(2) This one is funny. I've posted about this, most of the Igbo educated classes voted for Buhari and hated Jonathan. As for the Yoruba, their own parochialism was out of this world.

This writer is Wole Soyinka's daughter-in-law
https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2015/jan/31/nigeria-elections-president-muhammadu-buhari-lola-shoneyin

Worse, who remembers the Bar Beach executions ordered by Buhari? Where he applied a new law RETROACTIVELY to sentence two drug traffickers to firing squad in 1985? The two victims were Bernard Ogedengbe and Barth Owo.

Do you know that Bernard Ogedengbe's son campaigned for Muhammadu Buhari in 2011 and 2015? He wrote articles and gave speeches. I saved some but can't reach them now. It's true. Even if you favor Buhari for whatever reason, why not just keep quiet?

Anyway, I only posted because of your stellar comment. You must STOP making sense, it's not Nigerian. You're not Japanese, logic is NOT your culture.

Good Luck to Nigeria.

I wondered what went on in their naive and ignorant minds. I wonder about their current state of reasoning looking at Buhari's economic policies and in(actions) towards Igbos. Other so-educated Igbos who fervently supported Buhari then were DrChife, a one-time director at Apple Inc., and Oby Ezekwesili.

Anyway, I only posted because of your stellar comment. You must STOP making sense, it's not Nigerian. You're not Japanese, logic is NOT your culture.

Buhari won second term despite being a failure. Tinubu will likely still win. The northerners are waiting for their turn in 2031 so won’t vote a new president that may do 8 years. Are Soyinka, Reno and others no defending him already

This is what I don't really like to see. So you mean the northerners are ready to keep dying under this administration and encourage reelection because they don't want another southerner that will do 8yrs after 2027, even if it means the person could make life better for them.

LOL!

If so, why didn't they, especially those in the North-West, vote for Peter Obi or vote en-mass for Atiku if they wanted a change from APC? Is there any difference between Buhari's APC and Tinubu's APC?

The naivety amuses me.
