Yes against the bosses choice.

Osibanjo did contest against buhari either.

He contested against his main boss Tinubu.

It means nothing honestly, being reinstated does not give you power still to call any shot in government, obaseki can continue pressing ya neck.

It means a lot... He will finish the tenure as a deputy governor with all privileges due to a deputy governor, couple with the fact that the primary that produced his opponent has been nullified. He's winning

Justice Omotosho gave the same judgement reinstating Asue Ighodalo as Pdp candidate and also gave this, but you are calling this a Kangaroo judgement.

Shuibu had always been the political backbone of Obaseki. Whatever obaseki did in edom was motivated or will I say Shuaibu was instrumental to it.
Ordinarily, obaseki can't stand shuaibu if not for d power of a governor.
Now that Shuaibu, wike and Oshomole are in same line, I wonder how fast Obaseki will sink politically.

I remember oshiomhole court case then, when he was removed as chairman of Apc. Appeal court rush the matter like sharwama.

I wonder on what ground you call someone foolish.
On what constitutional ground can a sitting Deputy governor be impeached?
Who's responsibility is it to sack the Deputy governor, by what procedure?
What are the causes of the disagreements between Shuaibu and Obaseki?

My friend the cute baby lion you guys are taking in today will eventually become the monster that will consume you. Mark these words

The problem you have is that you are zealous but ignorant.

The Court is not a court officer gossips and emotions. Go and look for the judgment and read it. It will educate you further.

BleedingPen:

The Court held that there was a breach of the provisions of the procedure laid out in Section 188(1) to (9) in the way and manner the impeachment process was conducted. The court noted that the ouster clause in Section 188(10) limiting the jurisdiction is not a stand alone provision.

The Court referred to the decision of the Nigerian Supreme Court in Inakoju v. Adeleke(2007).

Hope you can read the above?

I see what your problem is that is causing your agony.

You love Kanu the riff-raff terrorists who wanted to usurp the constitutional and legitimate leadership that the people of the SouthEast region already have, and considered himself their government who must dictate to them and also dictate to the federal government who must therefore acknowledge him and call him to the table to discuss matters that affect the SouthEast.

The ego of the riff-raff has been deflated and the madness he suffers will soon be exorcised from his being.

Secondly, you are part of the Obidient bandwagon who insist Obi is saint and must be forced down the throat of everyone. You retain your right to criticise other politicians but become terribly upset to the point of insanity, that a mere mortal dare to criticise saint Obi of the beggy-beggy Yes Daddy religious warfare infamy?

You do not dictate what is right or wrong.

Keep all eyes on the judiciary and be accepting of their judicial outcomes which must not always align with your prejudices and delusions.

Your attempt at psychoanalysis is as feeble as your arguments. It's laughable how you project your biases onto others and then proceed to attack them based on your flawed assumptions.

First, your obsession with Kanu and your incessant labeling of him as a terrorist reveals more about your own paranoia and inability to see nuance than anything else. Kanu’s actions and the response to them are far more complex than your simplistic narrative. The situation deserves a more thoughtful discussion than your one-dimensional rants.

Secondly, your fixation on Peter Obi and the so-called "Obidient bandwagon" is equally misguided. Criticism of political figures, including Obi, is valid, but your blanket dismissals and personal attacks show a lack of substance in your arguments. It’s ironic that you accuse others of being upset by criticism when you clearly can’t handle any critique of your own favored politicians without resorting to insults and hyperbole.

You claim to defend the judiciary and democratic principles, yet your comments betray an authoritarian streak, where dissent and differing opinions are not tolerated. Your version of democracy seems to be one where everyone must toe the line and any deviation is met with hostility.

Your inability to engage in a rational, balanced discussion without resorting to baseless accusations and childish name-calling makes it clear that you’re not interested in genuine dialogue. Until you can address issues with facts and respect for differing viewpoints, your arguments will remain shallow and unconvincing.

Grow up and learn that democracy is not about blind loyalty or enforcing a singular narrative. It’s about engaging with diverse perspectives, holding leaders accountable, and fostering an environment where ideas can be debated openly and respectfully.

Are you an illiterate? How does a court wake up to annul the outcome of a lawful legislative proceeding? Even though Obaseki did injustice to the guy, his removal duly followed constitutional procedure.

That you compared a mere party primary to the legal outcome of an elected parliament shows how dull you are. You should get better political education.

Nigerian judiciary is now a center of ignominy.

I was referring to a sensible person, not a 5th generation blockhead like you.

Go and get someone to interprete the judgement in your native language maybe or will finally sink into your empty head.

To work under who ?

Does the constitution spell out the work or duties of the deputy apart from what he is instructed to do by the governor ?

If the governor did not instruct him to do anything, can he do it ?

The former deputy governor is only wasting his time. The kangaroo court bought judgement can not stand. A federal court does not have the power to decide what was politically motivated or not. The state house of assembly set up a panel that investigated the former deputy governor, the committee made a recommendation to the state house of assembly, base on their findings, and subsequently impeached the former deputy governor. The court dey whine am. The state government and the state assembly will appeal and drag it on until after the elections. By that time, a new government would be in place. All this nosie from Shaibu will die down.

You ought to know that Omotosho is fond of giving his own opinion even in his judgement. The papers are saying he declared that the impeachment was politically motivated. I wonder how that makes any sense to a neutral mind. Anyway, read below subsection 10 and 11 of section 188 which he based his judgement on. See for yourself if a court has the powers to determine what constitutes gross misconduct

Stay of execution in 24 hours will be purchased or acquired by Obaseki.
Then in 48 hours the supreme court will affirm Shaibu as the deputy governor. Obaseki never listen to wise counsel. He is not a wise governor. He should have know by now that he is not in good book of Tinubu and he was among the people who orchestrated the removal of Oshiomole as national chairman of Apc then and their main purpose was to stop Tinubu from flying the party presidential ticket. Obaseki is really not a politician. Not every deputy you can messed up. Shaibu remains a son to Oshiomole an ally of Tinubu. Both Oshiomole and Tinubu are fighting him politically and he his not in the good book of the masses because of failed performances. Palace saga is another one again too. Am from same zone with Shaibu but I never supported him to be governor now. I existed the various whatsapp group I was added to promote some candidates from Edo North. I only accepted professor Osunbor Whatsapp group and unfortunately he lost the primaries. Obaseki always believe he knows better than others. Even if he get any judgement to favour his candidate in Benin city, just know that he will lose all in supreme court in Abuja. They set a trap for him, and he just jump into it unknowningly and he got caught.
