■ Have respect for numbers please. First of 650,000 barrels is about 103 million litres of crude, when operating at full capacity. Nigeria's petroleum needs is about 66 million litres per day, so where's the lie here?
■ Secondly, NUPRC gives license for refineries or tank farms to operate in Nigeria, no such platform operates without licenses from this government agency and by the way the requirements are very stringent. How can you say Dangote operates without a license, that's preposterous.
You don't seem to understand why Nigeria is where it is, to give you a perspective, why has all the four government refineries not been working after being built to running capacity? Why was the pipelines to warri refinery blown by hoodlums after completing when buhari borrowed money to fix a portion of the refinery for refining? Why was Ajaokuta steel plant not completed after reaching 98% completion? Why do we keep importing crude? Who benefits from making the country fail deliberately and why do they keep at it?
Storyland! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

2. Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA) is the agency that announced that Dangote is not license to operate.
NMDPRA stands for Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority. It is a government organization in Nigeria that regulates and monitors the technical and commercial aspects of the petroleum industry's midstream and downstream operations. The NMDPRA's goals include:
Setting standards and regulations - The NMDPRA establishes and enforces standards for the design, construction, operation, and maintenance of plants, installations, and facilities used in petroleum operations.
● Ensuring supply security- The NMDPRA works to ensure a secure supply of petroleum products and natural gas.
Promoting competition -The NMDPRA encourages competition and private sector participation in the petroleum industry.
Protecting customers - The NMDPRA establishes customer protection measures.
Regulating health and environment- The NMDPRA regulates and monitors health and environmental measures, establishes environmental standards, and outlines the duties of licensees. The NMDPRA also imposes sanctions and penalties for noncompliance

3. Dangote Refinery is not Nigeria, but just a company in Nigeria that is subject to Nigerian laws and regulations. undecided

■ Governemnt should do the needful. You spoke that the same government supported Dangote and now the change in Government are seeing alot of scam. The Government should have revamped our existing refineries. I'd rather place more blames on the government and little on Dangote. If Government have left us with only Dangote refinery to deal with, then let it be so. when dangote diesel got to the market, the prices of diesel reduced. Counting the positives.
Your government invested $13 billion in Dangote Refinery, money that has yet to be traced to date. Earlier this year, your same government claimed it had to shore up the naira to provide an advantage for the same refinery. Pretending it is not one of the refineries your same government invested heavily in is simply drowning oneself in more delusion possibly with future hope of delirium. undecided

Stop mixing things up, NUPRC gives license to operate NMDPRA regulates operational industries.

How can someone from NMDPRA say that? That's not even under their purview. And you ran with that kind of information?

A company of that magnitude that the country has a stake in should be moribund like others? People should respect sacrifice and great investment.

Dangote is no saint, but in matters of strategic investment that guy has always benchmark Nigerian government.

1. See this one! 🤣🤣🤣 Dangote Refinery's team has yet to deny the claim made by Farouk so I am not certain what it is you are going on about. What they did attempt to deny was the claim that the quality of their product is subpar, this without providing any evidence by the way. undecided

2. Magnitude? Moribund? Magnitude isn't what makes a company worth considering. It is the quality of the product and veracity of claims made. undecided

3. Nonsense!
