Dangote has international clients for his products.

A government with common sense and the interest of the masses at heart will subsidise the crude supplied to Dangote refinery, then agree the price at which the finished products would be sold to the masses.

Cheap fuel, cheap fertiliser and price of things will come down.

This is how subsidy should work. Rather than the current fraudulent model.

Walahi, saboteurs full government.

Sabos just full govt.
Tbh you can't thrive in this kind govt... Bad belle

If you think prayers in church will save Nigeria.
You are hallucinating.., Nigerian’s problem is caused by pastors, imams and all religious leaders.

Your post illustrates the problem with Nigeria. We always find someone to blame but ourselves. The people you mentioned above as well as politicians and government officials, the police etc etc etc are first and foremost All NIgerians!!! You complaining today will be in a position of influence tomorrow whether as a teacher, a gateman, an imam a pastor a politician, a civil servant and 95% chance you will become the problem you complain about today because you are a Nigerian!!

Why the Boss of NMDPRA still has a job is what I don't understand. Tinubu must make a statement with this man. He has to fire somebody. Or else, his government is just a jamboree.

It's so unfortunate that this is happening to a n investor who is also a Nigerian. Imagine Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority, NMDPRA De marketing a fellow Nigerian just for selfish interest of importing the useless fuel the have been giving Nigerians.

If it were to be in a a sane country the government would have sacked that DG or MD because of his highly insensitive comment. So this simply explains why our refineries are not working. Some jobless and lazy people are making sure it doesn't work so they can make money through importing substandard product and selling it at a standard cost or more. I read the sulphur content in Dangote's product is barely below 90 ppms while the usual imported product is above 2000 ppms. How did we get to this point where investing in your country is now mistake and yet we are wooing foreign investors watching everything play out in UHD 8k? This also explains why companies are selling their assets here and living.

Even if Dangote has been enjoying monopoly in Nigeria the fact remains that he is Nigerian, his projects are in Nigeria employing Nigerians etc. All the government needs to do is to support his and put him on check on his deliverables to Nigerians.
They are now accusing Dangote of monopoly. Who allowed him to have monopoly. Is he bigger than the govt. Can he give himself monopoly. Refineries, they cannot operate successfully, the person that wants to do it, they want to frustrate him, may God deliver us in this country

Just imagine...!

Yet, Port Harcourt and Warri refineries have never produced one liter of fuel or serviced one filling station within Nigeria after all the years and Billions pumped into them.

Dangote is just showing up the depth of rot and corruption in this wayward nation's downstream sector.

You are talking as if live outside Nigeria, subsidy is good but any subsidy that made fuel to be cheaper in Nigeria than neighbouring countries will make petrol smugglers begin their nefarious activity again which will defeat the aim of subsidy as it happened before when subsidised Nigeria fuel flooded countries like Cameroon, Benin Republic etc

You have a fair point here. However, if the customs and border police are alive to their duties, this would not be an issue.

Government should give free conversion kits from petrol to gas to every vehicle owner as the price of CNG gas is now #230 per kg which is cheap

perfectly summed up, but Tinubu has no intention of making life easy for the masses. He believes people are easily controlled when poor .

Hence he likes the model of agberoism and giving alms to the poor instead of empowerment

It will be difficult to get many border security personnels that are not corrupt, infact most Nigerians from leaders to followers are corrupt.
It's only policy that can reduce corruption in Nigeria.
I think government should give conversion kits from petro to gasl to every car owner and made the CNG gas available in abundance So we buy it at the rate of ₦230 per kg that it's being sold now
CNG gas is cheap and in abundance in Nigeria

The guy from NMDPRA is a Northerner. A person from the same household ends up being the worst enemy. The Nigeria Govt should relieve that saboteur of his position immediately.

My brother, please just check how much these fraudsters have spent on maintenance of refineries from 1999-2024. That will give you two Dangote refineries with a few billion dollars to spare.

And some brain dead youths are still laughing on this matter.

Re: Our Refinery Has Received Repeated Orders From Abroad — Dangote by Halo22: 5:38pm On Jul 22
I don't understand the reason for this hullabaloo. Sen. Akpabio earlier told us that the refinery would start functioning before the end of June. So who is frustrating this dream of bringing down the cost of PMS and AGO?
Re: Our Refinery Has Received Repeated Orders From Abroad — Dangote by christistruth01: 5:39pm On Jul 22
Dangote has spent the Last 30 years on a free Bus Ride

But he should still be given the chance to make the Dangote Refinery Commercially Successful

so Nigeria can gain something in return and loose less

Corruption has buried this nation permanently, and those idiot youths don't know.

Leave them to keep supporting apc and pdp!

The Port Harcourt refinery they keep pushing and postponing up and down has already enriched some people with Billions as we type here.
