Re: Abubakar Momoh: Niger Deltans Have No Cause To Protest Against Tinubu by Salewa97: 6:08am On Aug 01
Niger Deltans should really think twice before joining any protest against Tinubu.

What exactly are we protesting for? Our leaders have consistently failed us, and now we want to blame Tinubu for their incompetence? It’s time to hold our local leaders accountable instead of dragging the president into our issues.

Protests won’t solve our problems; we need action and strategic engagement with the government, not empty noise on the streets. The same politicians that failed us will be the ones leading the charge. Let’s focus on meaningful dialogue instead of stirring unnecessary chaos.

Everybody has a price and once you can buy them over beyond their cost price, they’ll be sold out to you.
Not a fan of BAT, but he is a deal breaker per excellence, knows how to buy people over with so much efficiency. His personal greatness and how Tia trickles down to his teams must be studied, people just can’t protest against his government successfully.
It’s not that they are blind to the realities truly, but it’s either they assume false blindness or empathetic stances, because somehow somewhere ,value has been communicated, bought and sold

Those who have benefitted from the programs of the government should not come out and protest. Those who haven't benefitted are free to protest... It should be a peaceful protest, just like #occupyNigeria, which was led by Bihari, Tinubu etc. And the protest is against bad governance both at state level and federal level. There's is hunger in the land, I'm not sure it has ever been this bad. The so-called policies are made to benefit top politicians and cripple the masses. They lavish billions on unnecessary things while the local man is just looking for enough to eat for the day.

What a woeful statement from the mouth of demonic educated senile individual. So Nigeria Deltans have their place for buying food items at give away Price, pay lesser electricity bills etc? Men who tell lies with impunity are in this regime. Crazy!!

It will never be well with this Malu, this administration that's finding it difficult to continue with the rehabilitation of the most important section of the East West Road.

A sensible government will show their roadmap for tackling the issues that were raised by the organisers of the protest and not all those petty tactics.

The kind of idiiots we have in government saddens me. Just imagine, as if niger-deltans have a special place where they buy bag of rice for 7k or a liter of petrol for #80. I have realized Nigeria can not be salvaged and built up my economy to be insulated from what ever nonsense that goes on there.

You will never see that from a Nigerian leader cause there's nothing to mention

They only give generic statements luke; the president cares for the people, we are doing our best and the issues are being tackled, we have rolled out programs that are already bearing fruit etc without actually mentioning anything like putting a number or percentage on what they are saying.

The most annoying of them all is when they say the president/governor cares for the people. Like is that suppose to convince people...

Allow those who cause to protest to do so and again I don't believe that Niger Deltans are feeling the pang and bite of hunger and economic hardship that have pervaded the land.

Imagine. People are talking about a cup of rice costing N1500, a loaf of bread costing N1500, cost of one egg N150, even cost of one cup of garri is now N150, and someone is talking electricity projects, bridges and culverts. Nigerians are crying "ebin kpa wa" and this Minister yapping about NDDC projects, na NDDC projects we go chop?
Re: Abubakar Momoh: Niger Deltans Have No Cause To Protest Against Tinubu by Tom1960: 6:44am On Aug 01
After the 10-day protest, what next? Business as usual. I have said this time without numbers that Nigeria will never progress with the 1999 constitution as amended. The reason is because, it was not drafted with the interest of the general public. It encourages corruption, political rascality, impunity and recklessness. It is easily manipulated by the judiciary and politicians because of its opaque nature. What we need in Nigeria is total restructuring and a new people-oriented constitution. Tinubu is part of the problem not the whole problem of Nigeria.
