You are wrong and stop using Edo as a case study. How sure are you that the LG chairmen in Edo are loyal to Obaseki. Remember that Obaseki has many internal enemies including his deputy.
LG chairmen are grassroots mobilizers. They know the key stakeholders in town including the returning officers.
Returning officers do not fall from sky. They are Profs of various universities in the state. Recall that Amaechi used all the federal might and militarized the previous state elections in River State and yet he failed.
That is why no federal might can make APC win election in some states.

APC won't win elections in some state even with federal might, because they have not invested politically in those states.All APC needs are politicians with large followership,that's what they need to win in Any state in Nigeria.As at today, the states APC can't win even with federal might is not more 5 states.

What is happening now is that the governors are indirectly appointing the chairmen and councillors. The state independent electoral commission is appointed and funded by the state governments. They use them to manipulate the elections and declare their candidates winners. The LGA autonomy that we are rejoicing will be non existent.

Exactly, obaseki fought against godfatherism. He should have been neutral during the primaries, allowed the wike faction to nominate someone and handover quietly. There was no Abracadabra

Not true. LGA polls are always won by the gov party but not all state are won by one party. APC has 21 out of 36 states not all the states. The only state I can say apc rigged is Kogi
