Re: Travelling To Canada-part2 by usask4life: 1:24pm On Feb 13, 2012 |
Dare 14. From all indications, it might take longer than u think. I suggest u find ways of withdrawing ur bros passport from CDHC for d interview. I have waited and finally no longer bothered again until whenever they remember me. I have my new start date (MAY) as against the one they have as at the time of submission, For over 2 weeks now, I have been emailing them to inform them that I would post it to their office. But d reply I get is always "You would be advised should further documentation be required of you". Some security guys *although I don't rely on them * say I should just ignore the message and post my new letter to CDHC, Therefore people of elite, I don't knw if that's d best thing to do. I submitted since sept 27. Thanks |

Re: Travelling To Canada-part2 by acca12: 4:01pm On Feb 13, 2012 |
@newacca, @all hi house, am gathering document for TRV and will like to ask. my wife older brother is in Canada (PR) and am planning staying with the family thru the period of my study. he is given me a letter to this respect. i will like to know the effect of this on my application. i will be sponsoring myself, i suppose i have good ties to Nigeria cos am married with 2kids and some properties. waiting for the house response. |
Re: Travelling To Canada-part2 by newacca: 4:18pm On Feb 13, 2012 |
@tolyem, it is not bad if you can use the 2 sponsors and even support it with ur own sponsorship details, just to create the impression that fund is available for ur studies. But make sure u make it clear of ur main sponsor and subordinate sponsors i.e 2nd sponsor and urself. I wish u d best. @dem76, is ur brother residing in France? If yes,he should be able to get translator to tell him the meaning. Betterstill,u can get translator here in Nigeria to tell you what it means. U can also use google translation tool if u dont wanna to translators. ciao @acca12, Though I haven't been to Canada and I don't really connect with my relatives in Canada, but I believe I can contribute as little as possible from my experience. Hopefully,if ur wife's brother's status is good without bad record,it will be a plus for u if u package ur application well. So,watch this tip: 1) Even if ur wife's bro is there,u still need to proof that u've gotten enough fund to get accommodation and food. Remember visa officers are human like us. Ur wife's bro may act funny one day and things may not get along with both of u when u get there(God forbid). So,I think VO will expect u to expect the unexpected even if ur wife's bro promises accommodation. 2) Make sure ur financial dox creates impression that you are making huge income that will cover ur financial needs while studying in Canada and also cover expenses of ur wife n children while u r away in Canada, even when they aren't going to Canada with you. Yea,dox of properties is also good. Having wife and children will also go a long way to proof u have ties to ur country. But Pls. don't shoot urself in d leg with the family ties,by not showing u will conveniently provide for their expenses while u are away! It's important. ciao |

Hello Nairaland, I want to further my studies and obtaining an MSC degree in Telecommunications wouldnt be a bad Idea, but how to go about it is the challenge! I need to know the schools, city, tuition fee, Visa requirements, Admission requirements e.t.c. I studied Electrical and Computer Engineering and graduated with a CGPA=4.40, with three and half year working experience. Anyone in the house to assist me? Thanks in anticipation of your responses. |

Re: Travelling To Canada-part2 by usask4life: 12:39pm On Feb 14, 2012 |
Congratulations Mr Gbenga, Medicals take between 2 to 4 weeks. You could get ur TRV after 9 working days since ur case is an emergebcy one. Congrats one more time bro. Just book a flight anyways. My question is, did CDHC call u to bring a new start date first before giving u d medical instructions or did the instruction come together with d request for a new date? And when did u submit your application? Thanks bro. |

Re: Travelling To Canada-part2 by newacca: 6:10pm On Feb 15, 2012 |

I am a University Student in my Final Yr studying Computer Science in(Covenant Univ) , I want to apply for a College Diploma in Web Design In Canada When I Graduate By June instead of going for Master Degree. Do you think the Canadian Embassy will see this as something Good |
Re: Travelling To Canada-part2 by palliative: 12:04am On Feb 16, 2012 |
@ all, oh yes. CDHC bleep me up today with a denial. Funny enough, it seemed mine wasn't a sterotype. It was really specific, detailed and not ticked with pen but every was printed uniquely. Reasons are, 1, You have not convinced me that you have enough financial resources to manitain urself in canada. 2, You have not satisfied me that u have enough financial resources to pay for you tranportation to and from canada, And most importantly, 3, All documents are to be in original format, insufficient proof of relationship and that relationship is SUFFICIENTLY CLOSE to ensure funding; discrepancies in sponsor information, The English became too much o jaree. I would be reapplying in 2 months frm now, Would have to use my parents as sponsor. That's just d best bet and I hope it wouldn't kick against me for changing a sponsor? Thanks |
Re: Travelling To Canada-part2 by gbenga8301: 5:00am On Feb 16, 2012 |

Re: Travelling To Canada-part2 by moty4all: 8:46am On Feb 16, 2012 |
@newacca Do you think Going to college in Canada after University is Okay. Will the Embassy Grant me Visa for a 2 Yrs diploma certificate program. I need your advise. |
Re: Travelling To Canada-part2 by newacca: 10:26am On Feb 16, 2012 |
@Palliative, sad 2 hear about the denial. Life goes on though. is it true that you did not submit original copy/notarized copy of any of d main dox. u used in applying? If it's true, then the house needs to blame u a bit ooo. cos ppl dey always ask questn relating to this and dem dey get correct response. even for dem embassy req. it was categorically stated. as per sponsor,u can take ur parent join as co-sponsor/main sponsor nah, Well,if @ 1st u dnt succeed, try and try and try again bro. @moty4all, I think it is possible,as long as u can prove ur reasons of doing so. U may support ur application with statement of purpose. why u wanna go for 2yrs diploma cert. prog. it depends on ur previous academic field and d present 1 u wanna pursue;and how u present ur case to the visa officer. good luck. ciao |
Re: Travelling To Canada-part2 by moty4all: 10:37am On Feb 16, 2012 |
@newacca Thx for your respond I am currently in my Final Year studies in Covet University studying computer Science. Seeking a diploma in Information Technology: Internet Application Development I Got this mail from the sch Average yearly cost for this program is around $16,780 (may vary a bit). You will need to show you have at least $16,780/year plus or for 2 year study the cost is approximately double the cost, or $33,560. Do i have to have this money in my Personal acct or my sponsor acct |
Re: Travelling To Canada-part2 by newacca: 11:08am On Feb 16, 2012 |
@moty4all, as I said earlier,u can write a statement of purpose to backur application why u are going for Diploma in Info.tech after a degree in computer science. Though I think you have a chance cos u may decide to specialize in area of ur study at advancement level. Info.tech is related with Computer science and part of computer science. U may decided to specialize in Info. tech after u've gotten adequate knowledge in Computer science. Starting info.tech with diploma prog. is not bad and it may serve as bridging gap btw ur comp.science and other advanced prog. of computer u may want to study after completion of degree in comp.science. U r in d better position to explain ur field cos I'm into Management/finance career. As per d acct stuff,u can have it ur sponsor's acct or ur personal acct.what matters mostly is to prove that the speculated fund is available for u at any time. ciao |
