Bro which school were you admitted to? Do they have low tuition?
it will be difficult to see a school with low tuition in U.K and even if you do see i suggest you make inquiries very well so you wont get a bogus admission. you also have to consider the fact that you are a Msc student and you wont expect the tuition for Bsc and Msc to be the same or even close.

Really "A list" Lol u arent going to a boarding skul, most importantly u need money, u may bring a few clothes, food stuffs, toiletries and a winter jacket. that is the basic thing i think, the remaining u ve to get them over here.
Bro, can you please be specific about the food stuff thing. I seem to be getting different signals as to what I can carry and what I can't. I was thinking of going with grounded crayfish and smoked/dried fish o but someone said it won't be allowed.
Also I was told palm oil won't be allowed.
The reason I asked is that I don't want to carry something I can easily and conveniently get over there in the UK and also I don't want to leave something important.
My dear this is an opportunity for me o. My Dad seem to forget the maintenance money covers my feeding so I need to make full use of this opportunity.

You will be able to buy palm oil ( african type) and other foods in local markets to Salford.
The area and the greater part of Manchester which is only a bus ride away has many many ethnic food shops.
Ask at Uni and people will tell you.
Look for " Caribbean stores

Remember bus in England is NOT ocada!!!!! it is civilised safe and reliable transport.
Also clothes shops with sensible prices.

Ok. I will just jettison the idea. My boo is saying he will use a freight forwarder or EMS to send me the food items I will need. I remember he sent some foodstuffs 2011 to Turkey using EMS.
I have more than enough to eat out for the whole programme if I wish but I also like to have a little savings after the programme.
A little cooking and hopefully some few hrs of work should make me save money I can use to set up business when I come back to Nigeria(Yes, I don't intend staying 1 extra day in the UK after my studies).

Thanks so much. I was charged N42,000 to send 30kg of foodstuffs via EMS. I am thinking it may just be wise to buy them in the UK.
However, my boo has contacted a freight forwarder who is assuring he can get 100kg of foodstuffs to Manchester for N90,000. This is airport to airport transfer and I still have to clear it in Manchester for a price am yet to know.
Don't know if it is even worth the trouble.

Well I think there is really no need for the worries as you can get foodstuffs in manchester. My advice is take the little you can while travelling and buy over there.

that's a very good idea at least if Nigeria can get more students like you who are willing to return home after studies i think in the next coming 8-10 years Nigeria will be full of great things..

ok, just to ask

199. Where evidence from two or more accounts is submitted, we will assess the funds
available to you as being:
• the closing balance of one account, plus
• any additional money available to you on the date of that closing balance, for which
you have provided the required evidence.
200. We will always use the closing balance date from the account that most favours you.

Does this mean that the second account do not need to be held for 28days?

I am in Manchester, I graduated September. I would advice you to take the foodstuffs that your baggage allowance would allow. There are loads of African store in longsight, hulme and especially moston. They sell everything needed for African food so you don't need to ship anything down. You will get cowleg, innards, goat meat, etc. cheers

Hello house, I applied and paid fully to a college last month , but the school wrote me that they are yet to renew their license, that I should wait till April for their next intake. I checked the ukba and saw that they are on legacy instead of highly trusted sponsor as the time I applied. what advise can you give on that !
