MTV base has confirmed that the Nigeria stars wizkid, tuface and psquare have now been signed by convict music. This is a massive news for naija hip hop

Akon recently signed 2face, Wizkid and P-square to his Konvict Musik record label as Representatives. The three Nigerian musicians will be joining Lady Gaga, Brick & Lace, Colby O’Donis among others who are also signed to the label.

Akon made the announcement this past weekend at Club 10, J.J Okocha’s club in Victoria Island.

Since Kanye West’s signing of D’banj to his Good Music record label, many music industry analysts have predicted a rise in future signings of African music artistes.

'Huge' is a relative term. They may be local champions, but compared to Akon and some of his konvict music artists, they're like ants - metaphorically speaking of course. If they ever hope to achieve international stardom, then this is the best opportunity they'll ever get.

I agree with you absolutely. But Akon better be serious. and 2face is far more than a local star. so much more than a local star, if 2face had the dbanj deal, listen, the game in Nigeria will FLIP, but then again, I guess they are only following the dbanj trail.

lady gaga is no longer signed to konvict music, and this is no big deal, if it's true, akon is no longer at the top of his game, even tuface get level pass am now, na akon and terry g be mate now, akon's voice has become irritating, dat's why people are refusing to feature him in the west, so dat's why he wants to come to africa, to see if dem go still regard am.
