what manner of govt goes around forcing a policy on her citizens by use of police brutality? i tot d president says he feels d people's pains. is dis how he shows it? by killing innocent protesters who were protesting peacefully? wasn't d govt expecting any form of public outcry considering d sudden hardship most pple r now confronted with? i guess d mr. jonathan is gradually unmasking his true identity to nigerians but let his goons here let him know dat wat goes around comes around. it's just a matter of time. history never lies.

coolNo one should loose t
hier life for this struggle we can be heard without bloodshed, pls do everything to avoid casualties, dont provoke the police in anyway, the cabals sponsoring this protests are well protected from all this danger,if not for the subsidy we enjoy,i will have wanted that cabal scattered by subsidy removal. cool
What kind of thing is this; I am these guys were unarmed; why shoot at all. It is because they know they will get away with it. I took the death of one person to cause the Arab revolution, they should know that. This protest is not bein sponsored by the North or any cabal, this is a protest caused by reality; you will get the same reaction anywhere in the world if you increase anything by 150% overnight; not to even talk of fuel, a major commodity. This is simple common sense

I will bet that the presidency has not instructed the police on the measures to be taken,it seems in his govt every arm makes thier own decisions.he obviously loosing his command of the situation.Jonathan will never authorise the use of deadly force on protesters.

An unwarranted action from the police. They should be brought to book, but will they ?

It looks like it is the same guy who was arguing with the police that ended up dead on the floor. Wow! Dividends of democracy.

How come the international community (Obama et al, UN etc) have not condemned the killing and use of force on unarmed protesters by the Nigerian government and its agencies (NPF) as they where quick to do in the uprising of Libya, Egypt and Syria just to mention a few? This goes to show the double standards of the west and their support for the selfish government of Good luck Jonathan.  angry angry

perhaps he pulled d trigger by proxy! does it not smack of mischeif dat despite dis not bein d first police killin since d beginning of dis saga, d govt has found it very convenient to ignore it? am sure d govt is findin it very comfortable hopin dat once a few people r killed d rest ll b appropriately intimidated and d protests ll stop. well, dat might just b their greatest undoing. the earlier dis sensless killings r stopped, d better for both parties.

Libya and Syria are not friendly to the west so they will condemn by default. In the case of Mubarak they took a siddon look (wait and see) approach until it became clear to them that the Egyptians were not going to give up the struggle so they leaned on Mubarak to leave. Do you hear them condemn the friendly governments in Yemen, Bahrain or even Saudi Arabia (yes there are protests going on in Saudi Arabia but CNN, FOX e,t,c just wont tell you) over protest clampdowns in those respective countries? Nigeria is 'friendly' with the west.
