when people say things like this i'm baffled. Memphis isn't some academy player rising through the ranks this is a guy who tore up the dutch league two seasons in a row and played all the way up to the world cup semi-final for one of the better teams in international football.

Granted the Dutch league is not the premier league but neither was the French league when Hazard signed from Lille at a similar age to Mempis. The point is, this guy is already a proven talent whether you like it or not and so the Hazard comparisons are actually not that off the mark. Now if it were Januzaj being compared with Hazard i could understand the umbrage but Memphis Depay is a different class.

When i made that comment, we weren't playing well, but we were playing better than our previous matches. But we played well in the second half. A team can improve in few minutes.


That said, last night's game was Man Utd's best game since preseason. We played with flair and fluidity. But please let's not get carried away. This is Brugge and not a top team, so let's hope they keep the momentum up. Also, the Depay-Hazard comparison is atrocious. Depay looks promising and headed for the top. If he continues like this, we've another CR7 in our hands. But he can't be compared to Hazard FOR NOW. Hazard bests him, but he can out-match Hazard if he's consistent.

i wish i had the power to fire some people. Why not bid for both and stand a chance of getting one rather than burning the bridge with Pedro for a very improbable Muller and then getting none??

Unrealistic targets if you ask me, heard griezmann just signed a new contract... muller won't leave bayern or bayern won't sell muller, Reus is injury prone and loves Dortmund

It is possible muller has agreed to a move hence, the drop in Pedro interest and on another flip side... it could sadly have been pedro loosing interest because man utd had gone on to place such a high amount on muller yet dilly dallying over £2mil... what a way to tell a player, you are not that valuable

I've made up my mind not to be bothered by Gaal's stupidity in the transfer market. Gaal will not kill me. If he buys, fine; if he doesn't, fine. His azz is on the line if we play poorly this season after all.

Van Gaal has moved Memphis back to left wing position. He now has 3 people that can easily slot into that position (Young, Adnian and memphis)
Mata is still holding the right midfield down but could also receive some competition from memphis

That leaves us with a desperate need for the forward and CB positions hence the reason he may have dropped his interest in pedro.

To be honest, we would have had to sell young in order to accommodate pedro
