I don't quite agree. There's nothing shambolic about our transfers.
The areas where the cash has been splashed were of glaring deficiencies last term - injured Rafael, moi moi Valencia, aging Carrick & di Maria has been taken care of (& taken care of very well), what's shambolic about that?

If LvG chose to pull the plug on Pedro after Ed Woody flew to Barca for negotiations, then so be it! He must have his reasons for backing off cuz we were clearly interested & it's definitely not a cash issue.

LvG has said he need PACE & CREATIVITY upfront (we had hope Angel would provide that but he scampered) & I think he's still on the look out for something.

I'm more disappointed with the Otamendi ish but whatever it is, we certainly CANNOT say we didn't recruit well this window.

I've experienced this (criticism) before and the goals will come, I know that. I understand I have to be the one who's going to lead that line for us and try and find the goals for us. My mind is clear. I know how to play the role. It's just a case of getting the chances and taking them, which I'm hopefully going to do soon. I've always enjoyed playing against Newcastle, so hopefully on saturday I can open my scoring. It's important that we all chip in. Memphis managed to get off the mark this season. I've had one bad game this season and everyone's all over it. I know, I've had that throughout my career but hopefully at the weekend I can get off the mark."
