I think the following Players need to leave United in January! they have nothing else to offer the Team except making up the numbers of registered Players as approved by the FA and the UEFA! The Players are.....; (1) Fellaini (2) Rojo (3) Jones (Released) (4) Darmian (5) Memphis None is useful to the Team anymore! |

eph12: You are absolutely right... I enjoyed the Leicester match and I believe it was one of our best matches but I was not carried away. Three goals from set pieces and one from open play. I believe we do not create enough chances and it's even worse when we play defensively compact teams. I believe we would have been better if Martial was in good form like last season. We gave too many average players who never raised their games when needed. I think we need a very dynamic right winger. |

capricornian:Exactly my point. He never offers anything in attack. No be by simple short passes to ur nearest man and elbowing opposition players anyhow. |

capricornian:We have Miki already. Miki can play there while mata play in the middle. Lingard, Depay, Rooney can be rotated. |

“Rooney just used all his experience…he didn’t go into the bodies, he just pulled out, great little move, the ball’s fired in…and he’s got an assist.” And that – ladies and gentlemen – is how "Robbie Savage" described "Rooney’s" scuffed misdirected shot that was headed over the line by "Zlatan" for Manchester U’s 1st shot on target in the 69th minute of last nights Europa League clash with Zorya. codedguy1: You've said all there is to be said about Fellaini, I rest my case |
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by AikayDaWrapper(m): 11:06am On Sep 30, 2016 |
Fellaini is a major reason why the attackers don't perform well. Players like Carrick and Blind release passes more directly and faster to the attackers thereby giving them more space to attack and do their thing. When Fellaini is on the ball he's simply too sluggish and by the time the ball gets to our attackers the other team has already organised their defence making the job of breaking them down harder. Fellaini is not a bad player, he's just not united standard and his best role is box to box but man utd require more agility and technique in this position than he can offer. The guy should go to palace or Stoke. 2 Likes |

elampiro: WTF is this?? He has a back problem so what? In HIgh School when I popped my acl and out for the rest of my season, next season my coach wanted to put me in for preseason as a sub but during warm-ups I wasn't feeling it and promptly told him...He immediately pointed to another player to get on. Besides even the worst player on my college team can control that ball and slot it in not to mention a professional striker...He had plenty of time, no need for a first time or what do you have to say about his Northampton miss too? Face it, it's time for your bf to head to the retirement home! |
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by afrodoc2: 11:53am On Sep 30, 2016 |
AikayDaWrapper: This is what we have been saying for years. It is not that Fellaini is a terrible player, it is that he is just not United standard. And I don't think there is a space for him as a squad player because he is such a situational player and we cant plan to play like the old Stoke or Bolton. Even the current darling Herrera is a squad player at best in that position for a club aiming to return to the higher echelon of European football. |

"We know that when Zlatan is playing up front, he comes to create great assists and great passes. “We have to run behind him because we need depth in the game. We tried to do that in the first and second half. He gives a lot as a striker and he gives a lot when he comes to play as a midfielder as well. We have to take advantage of that. “After losing in Holland, we needed to win tonight and now we can look forward to Sunday’s match against Stoke. After the bad week, we knew that we had three games at Old Trafford. We have won two of them and now we are really focused on winning the last one before the international break.” - Juan Mata 1 Like |

Jose Mourinho needs to give Mkhitaryan a run of Games! Having him on the Pitch along with Mata, Herrera, Martial and Pogba would be hard for any Opponent to deal with! Lingard should be relegated to the Bench..... he should be playing EFL Matches along with Depay and TFM. Mkhitaryan would surely adapt to Premier League, and he won't need too much time to gel up with the Team! |

SlaughterGang: There was no real miss in Northampton. Someone swings a cross in from close position that apparently looked offside, then the ball took a flight over the boot of another. How was that a miss? |
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by AikayDaWrapper(m): 2:12pm On Sep 30, 2016 |
afrodoc2:I think Herrera is a good fit for now. The guy might not be a world class midfielder, but you don't need world class in every position. Casmeiro is an example, he's not top class but he does his job and helps the team tick. Herrera brings something that many of our players now don't exhibit and that's passion for the club. He could be a very good holding mid if Mourinho can teach him discipline. He already has the other abilities like aggression, tackling, mobility, vision and technique. If he just gets that I can't think of too many AVAILABLE midfielder in the world I would pick over him to hold. Verrati? Can't think of anyone else. |

With all this talk of Herrera and fellani. It easy to forget say we get Schneiderlin for bench. I just dey wonder about the guy,he was decent enough last season. |
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by afrodoc2: 2:28pm On Sep 30, 2016 |
AikayDaWrapper: For now maybe. But going forward we need someone better in that key position. Casemiro has 2 world class midfield generals with him in midfield so the job of controlling play is easier. With the way we are set up Herrera has to do that job alone with Pogba and the other midfielder also bombing forward. You can do with an average GK, or average full backs but CB,CM and CF are just too key for you to mess around with. Verrati, Kroos, Modric, Weigl, Koke e.t.c ahead of him IMO Only that Modric is 31. I always hoped that Modric and Bale would sign for United |
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by SlaughterGang: 2:41pm On Sep 30, 2016 |
elampiro: Easy with your lies...That offside was a close call and as a striker...Coaches all over have one rule..."Don't stop till you hear the call"...I have been hearing that mantra all the way from HS right to college so this only highlights Rooney's Lack of Judgement, He has grown lethargic and it's blatantly clear he was expecting the ball The ball was perfect for him and there was no deflection with the pass that found Rooney...Old man go and sleeep and take your pills. But maybe your argument was as a result of your early dementia...Here's a video to refresh your memory unless of course you can't afford to watch it then go onto the numerous articles that analyse it in more detail. And the worse part is if he had made that goal, Depays confidence would be better and the gaffer would have more faith in him. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GNjVjfA81kk |
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by capricornian(m): 2:42pm On Sep 30, 2016 |
dopeJemi: It might be true but when u watch our team play I don't think that stat would really matter that much. I am not saying stats don't matter but we need to reflection of the stats. Not sure I know what am saying actually cos am under some influence at the moment but there has been no much of penetration. How many of these shots have turned to goals? Pogba and a lot of them have been playing shots from outside the box and am sure those were the shots registered. The way we played yesterday was the same way we played after the CITY match that made us lose matches. We tends to be clueless when we playing against teams that park the bus and unfortunately we will still face a lot of teams that will do same. I am not blaming the Gaffer but he needs some dynamic players. Mata and Pogba to me are conditionally dynamic... Jesse is not there, to me.. Rashford can only do so much... Martial is off form... lets not even talk about Rooney at all. Herrera....hmmmm The problem with most of our players is that they are so good at blowing hot and cold . The level of their consistency is ridiculously low. |
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Leyqute(m): 3:18pm On Sep 30, 2016 |
capricornian: There was more urgency and passion in the way United played yesterday. Plus we didn't give the opponent space and time on the ball to think; the pressure was high. The opposite was the case against Watford and especially Feyenoord. Martial, Rooney and other midfielders switched to a defensive mentality and gave the opponent too much time on the ball, which helps their confidence. Pep's Shitty and Barca don't usually give their opponents that time, and it's a big difference. Unless you're playing a very good team, the wise thing to do is not to give them space, and make good use of the ball when you have it. Yesterday, and against Leicester City, we pressurized the opponent and recovered the ball quickly. The only difference is that yesterday we had more fluidity, with players running into spaces to collect the ball in the opponent's half but we failed to create enough goal scoring chances. |
