vazsily: Inflation is the rate of change in prices from one year to another. The government is proposing inflation rate of 15% which will make 20% even more juicy. Let's say they manage to achieve 25%, it's still around the yield you get from treasury bills. If your argument is that inflation will continue at 34% within the next one year, then that makes Tbills less desirable. Unfortunately, there are hardly any better options for risk averse investors especially for those with huge funds. 2 Likes |
